Hi everyone
NSD #10 achieved. I have mostly studied all day except for doing the locomotion with Boogie with Ball on R2 this morning and a walk by the river before tea - I saw a heron and it was all very tranquil.
Gratitudes - being able to walk to the river, getting good comments from mentor, another gripping LoD episode!

Hi lovely turtles.
Thrifty - glad your hubby is in good sprits and I hope the op goes as well as it can.
Having a happy and productive weekend. I start my new job tomorrow so had lots of things to sort out. Still lots to do today, including un-registering as freelance which can be done online but is a bit of a faff.
It has been spendy. I don’t think I’ve even reached 3 NSD. Had to buy an iron (never ironed a sausage in my life) some new shoes and other bits and pieces.
Grateful for… good food and wine, for my tomato plants getting big and for lovely bf holding the heavy hallway mirror for me so I could see the back of my hair when I was dyeing it!
enjoy your sunday turtles!

Morning All, thank you all for your good wishes.
Good luck with your first day @Shrewbie! Tell us how it went when you get chance.
Had a cleaning spurt yesterday morning. Blitzed the front porch, then started to attack the living room, unfortunately the hoover wasn't working! Cleared lots of cat hair out one tube, which helped, but the hoover still leaves a trail of dust where it's been. My lovely friend came to collect it after tea, for her boyfriend to have a look at it, she also brought me flowers 😊 Another friend who has a cafe, dropped us a bag of goodies off on her way home too.
Hubby phoned again, he's doing do well! He's able to walk without using a zimmer frame now. Still raving about how good the food is! Will know what the next plan of action is once we get results from today's operation, but hearing about the friend who was even better after their transplant has made my day! Sorry, can't remember if it was @Toni'sfriend or @foxholes.
Did make sure I read some of my book & had a nice soak in the bath too.
Have a lovely day, hugs to those who need it, things will get better xUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning Turtles, I have been missing in action and rest!
I had a very big adventure on Saturday lunch date with my DD, and her partner in Nottingham - we blessed with lovely weather, (extraordinarily good fish and chips), being in a beautiful park, and exploring the city. Just beautiful. Was sad on parting. Then met DGF for a drink in London on the way back through. Yesterday I had a really big rest, after all the antics out in the world, with more steps than I have done since last summer. It was a NSD too, and didn't go over budget on Saturday.
Delights and gratitudes.:
- sunshine
- trains that were not full
- delicious food

Tired today. Blaming my pillow. I loaned my usual pillow to DS because his was still wet from being washed. I took one of the spares.
Put DS back in a nappy last night. I was thankful to not be stripping and washing his bed this morning.
Still on NSD 10/16.
Grocery delivery this week cost £40.06. Did a top up shop this evening - £7.68 at Ald! Saved around £4 on what I would have spent at my usual top-up shop. I’ve worked out that it’s still worth me getting my weekly deliveries from Saneberries, but I’m changing my top-up to Ald!
This week’s grocery spend currently at £47.74 / £80.
Giant parasol arrived today. It was too giant - thought it was going to take off in the breeze! Conveniently, I was able to return it to the shop which is less than a 5 minute drive away. So for now, I saved on a parasol. But I’ll order another as soon as I find one I like.
Grateful for not washing bedding, a sunny day and sitting in the garden soaking it up, and DS being back at nursery.

Catching up on things from yesterday's list that didn't get done because of painting. So one wash load done and line dried. Bed stripped down to base and mattress, retrieved items from down the side (including 2 feathers and £1.05), pushed the mattress back into place properly (wondered why my pillows kept disappearing). Thoroughly exhausting but very comfortable result. Emptied out the brown bin and repacked it to hold two more carrier bags' worth of cans, jars, plastics of various kinds.
Had a visit from mummy of twins and the twins (first time inside the gate in over a year). Fun but tiring - I put out chairs, made a jug of cordial, set out a game, a magic painting book and paper cups before they came and the cushion from the bench so they could play on the floor and then put things 'away' after they went to do the school run (they had a teacher training day, the others still needed to be collected).
Sat outside in the shade reading my book, cooked all the chicken breasts, mum ate a small one with a handful of chips - most she's eaten in a week. Had trouble with passwords whilst trying to order more paint. Tried again this morning and was successful on the 3rd attempt (3 suggested passwords and 2 one time pass codes) so neither yesterday nor today were NSDs but abandoned the food order as it was mostly self indulgent rubbish - can make lots with what we already have.
Grateful for visitors, lovely comfortable bed with pillows staying where they are put, toast and raspberry jam.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -
Today I am grateful for a good day back at school, for time to sit and be quiet, for dd enjoying being back at her ballet class, for tosco having plenty of gf/df items I could get her, for going for a run in the park opposite her ballet place because it was still plenty light enough.
