Aldermore - Process

Our buyers have suggested 2nd but the vendor isn't ready as none of this was communicated to him (he's chain free) as again my solicitor wanted to have all his ducks in a row. So it's potentially the 9th or 16th - only Friday seems to be a thingJMcc123 said:
I would be packing, have they mentioned a suggested date at all?Reddington85 said:
Ah it's just neverending queries isn't it? All our searches and queries are back which has prompted the contract being released (in defence of my solicitor he is grumpy but methodical)CLJ2986 said:
We signed and sent back our contracts 2 weeks ago 🙃 the last update I had was 6 enquiries outstanding (EA said they had been answered, solicitor says they haven't. EA is on holiday until 27th.) And AML checks were being done, which has been a headache all of its own. She did say once that was complete she would request our deposit. Going to call in morning for an update but hoping to be able to set dates this week.Reddington85 said:After harassing my solicitor on a daily business and my vendors EA doing the same (they have been brilliant) we finally got contracts and deeds through today - so I'll print them off and see if we can't get this party started!!
Hopefully it all goes quickly from this point
I'm cautiously continuing to pack up boxes and hope for the best!
I've signed the aldermore mortgage deeds too now
I've posted the contracts back this morning. I'm still unsure how things work like how long it takes to pay back the Help to Buy Loan, how long it takes for my current mortgage to be paid off and the new one to be issued.
Don't get me started on exchange deposit vs mortgage deposit!

Ah what a nightmare for you. Are you hanging on for some news or planning to start looking elsewhere? Oh, did Aldermore confirm anything to you when funds had been requested? Seen a few people say lender had confirmed funds requested and just wondering.JMcc123 said:Tiny update - vendors solicitor has made contact with EA advising that they're chasing the lender, but no expected timescale.0 -
Any of those dates are soon though! I'd definitely be packing, doubt you'll be as unlucky as me 😅Reddington85 said:

I would ask your solicitor, mine has explained loads to me, I was constantly asking questions and still am 🙈 x0 -
Hanging on for news, we're away next week Mon - Fri, so technically buys us another week if its not resolved this week. Trying to focus on the positives of being rent and mortgage free for a week 😅CLJ2986 said:

I got no notification, I emailed my solicitor the week before completion was scheduled to confirm they'd been requested and they had requested they were released for 18/06 the same day the date was agreed.. and here I am 4 days later 😅🙈 x0 -
I enthusiasically packed and decluttered back in April.JMcc123 said:

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can't even get a response from my solicitor. Must be time for a phone call 🤣 I just want to know if the enquiries have been answered!JMcc123 said:
