Another update - thye've suggested 18th, I've said I'd prefer 11th, but will accept 18th, he's going  back to them with that - but worst case we'll be looking at 18th June  
I haven't signed the contract, I've just put pressure on for a date, I assume the exchange will come soon after we have a date agreed.
Put some pressure on! It's worked for me! I've really pushed about giving notice here and not wanting the extra expense etc, the same applies to you! x

Update our end is even though they’re still waiting for the docs we’ve already sent the valuation has been instructed 

Estate agent hasn’t heard anything yet, does anyone know how long it took before they got a date of the valuation?

It took at least a week I think. Then the valuation was booked a week later so 2 weeks in all I think. I can't even get on my tracking portal now 🤣 maybe I've been banned for logging in so much haha

I think it varies, my valuation was done the day after it was instructed, but I've seen others on here that have been waiting a couple of weeks before it's done. I would ask the EA to let you know when they hear

I've emailed my solicitor again. I just want to know what stage we are at! Apparently my file was on her desk last Thursday. Is it unreasonable to think they should have looked at it by now?! Such a slow frustrating process!

If mine didn't get back to me I would be calling, I know the Aldermore delays aren't their fault, but you gave them the go ahead a long time ago x

We did!! We were meant to exchange on Friday to complete on Monday but the sellers solicitor left work early on the Friday so exchanged and completed the same day. Very happy but very tired already. The stress was worth it though x
