Update from me - Chased solicitors on Friday, heard back that they were waiitng for more enquiries back from the vendors solicitors, so stressed I needed things to move on a bit. They suggested i ask the EA to put some pressure on them to return the queries, which they did, and EA confirmed queries had been responded to Friday PM, delightful weekend spent feeling confident that we'd have a date this week,
08:30 this morning, a different assistant has emailed saying they were waiting for enquiries back still, so i responded saying I'd been advised they went back late PM on Friday, please can this be confirmed, need confirmation this week due to giving notice on rent/nursery etc. They've responded asking if I need completion this week or just a date, I've responded saying just a date is required as a matter of urgency etc.
    And the waiting continues!! x

It's a waiting game of nerves isn't it. Came back off my holiday to the offer from aldermore by post (which seems more real than the email for some reason!)

Have discovered this morning that the solicitor who I purchased this property through has gone into administration and my buyers solicitor is asking a 101 questions which the administrators seem to care little about (28 day response time!) so I expect a delay!

Ah @JMcc123 I hope you get some good news this week! I'm currently waiting for any form of update from anyone. Will be calling them Thursday, and then I plan to start calling every 2-3 days until we get somewhere. Considering I instructed them in Feb and they started conveyancing 1st April (according to my tracker!) I would hope that we can make mid June to complete! @Reddington85 hope that doesn't cause you too much of a delay, this process is slow enough as it is 🤣

I know, me too! I'm hoping that the assistant that responded today just hasn't caught up on emails before responding to me as he was on annual leave on Friday, I'm literally chasing every day from now on. I just need a date! I need to take the day off work to get me and the little one to get the keys and we're bloody manic at work at the moment! x

You've so much more self control than I have :')
they've had everything for 8 weeks this week, and searches have been back 5 weeks, so with no chain it should only take around 4 weeks from searches being returned, just hoping the extra pressure I'm putting on works! Apparently my solicitor is looking at my file as we speak! So I'll email again tomorrow to see how he got on :') x

Another update! Solicitors Assistant emailed at about 17:00 yesterday asking for confirmation on what date I would like to be in, I advised 11th June, the date has now been put forward to the vendors solicitors - so a really big positive step I think! x
