Ah thank you! My mind is made up, I'm calling them after 1pm tomorrow for an update. I've made it clear we wanted this to go as quickly as we can so asking for an idea of where we're at isn't unreasonable 🤣 I chickened out of handing in my rental notice on the 14th, we have nowhere to stay if we don't complete in time. We decided paying an extra month's rent was preferable to having to try and fit 5 kids into my mums 2 bed 🤣🤣🤣 and thanks again for this thread, it's kept me sane-ish!

This might be a stupid question but as a private renter can I hand my notice in at any point of the month? And then LL would work out what’s oweing? So if I gave 4 weeks notice 2 weeks after last monthly payment I would only owe 2 weeks on my next payment? I’m clueless!🤷‍♀️
From our perspective we chased solicitor yesterday and all our searches are back - however it was concerning when they said they were waiting for our mortgage offer which we gave them nearly 3 weeks ago ‘Ah yes...I can see it on your file now’🤦‍♀️.
I missed a call from EA today in work and automatically thought the worst thinking they’d changed their minds about selling - rang back and it was just them wanting an update!! Head is fried!🤣
Fingers crossed for you guys this week - I know I’m a bit behind most of you so avidly checking your posts!👍🏻

I don't hear from the Estate Agents at all 🤣 its like no one but me.is that bothered about it! With the rental notice, I don't know how it works privately, I'm with an estate agents. My contract runs from the 15th to the 14th, I pay my rent on the 4th although it's not due til the 15th.  In theory, my last rental payment will be the 4th June, hand my notice in by 14th June and hand keys back by 14th July. In theory 🤣 I think if you've signed a tenancy agreement there should be info in there about rental notice periods and payments.

I'm not actually sure on this! my contract doesn't say anything about a specific date, so I assume it's any time. For me it just works well to leave on that date as my little one leaves nursery that day too, just hoping it actually finalised before then! x

    Hey all!
Id like some advice info based on the Aldermore process....
We are FTB and currently renting buying an empty house so there is NO CHAIN, we have handed in our notice and out by month end!
    Here is our Aldermore Process:
    • 9th April - Mortgage Application
    • 13th April - Valuation Instructed
    • 20th April - Valuation Completed
    • 22nd April - Aldermore called by partner to check furlough status and return to work
    • 23rd April - Offer received
Now, we are hoping to complete THIS FRIDAY! We are awaiting one more local authority search to come back. My question is... How long do Aldermore take to release funds? Will they do any more checks before they do? I have read somewhere that they call you to discuss first payment and a general welcome to Aldermore call (post was from 2014 though). Ahh I am new to this so any information would be handy!!! Thanks! <3

This is SO quick! I got my offer 01/04 and still waiting on the solicitors :(
Good luck! Hope it works out for you TOMORROW!!! X

    So frustrating isn't it!
I need to sign and return a declaration that I've paid all debts off, so I've requested this and they've just said it'll be sent over in due course, which is so annoying, as I can only access a printer at weekends, so if they send it on a random Monday it'll delay things a week, whereas if they send it now I can print it Saturday and get it back to them by Monday, which I've explained, but no response.
I just want a date, the seller can't commit to rent somewhere until we've exchanged. I just don't know how I can put pressure on them to speed things up! x

Yep, I have an online tracker that hasn't been updated since 25th April. I don't think they bother doing anything with it until I call to annoy them. I was gonna wait til 1pm but I'm already impatient, thinking if I call now they might actually look at the file this afternoon 🤣

I gave them a call, apparently they've received all the enquiries now and my file is sitting on my solicitors desk for her to review... hopefully that means we are getting close!

I was told this like 4 weeks ago but there's been more enquiries :(
I've just emailed again, I think I'm going to chase every 2 days as I can't see why it's taking so long. i've had no copies of searches or anything either, so no idea what the enquiries are xxx
