Ah thats amazing. So pleased for you!

I haven't heard anything since my phone call from the Estate Agents. I decided not to call yesterday as my email went unanswered again, and the ea said she was going through my file this week to check everything thoroughly and there would be an update after the bank holiday, so seemed like a waste to call her. Will be ringing Wednesday if I haven't heard anything to see if we can set dates. I want to hand in our notice in 2 weeks time so need some confirmation next week that it's possible!

Yeah, Wednesday seems like a fair time to chase. I would be putting pressure on about potentially paying an extra months rent and ask for a completion date, I think that's the only reason ours got moving again! Seemed to be at a standstill for a while.
I will email Wednesday to ask if there's a date in mind for exchange, as my mum is gifting some of the deposit I'll need to make sure she can transfer that day, not sure if they'll just do exchange and completion on the same date as there's no chain x

    Brilliant news about the completion.
I'm signing more paperwork than I remember the first time around - it's costing me a fortune in postage. Latest solicitor update is - everything is going well, things are just taking time at the moment.
I haven't spoken to my Estate Agent since the day I accepted the offer - not sure if I'm supposed to or not

I think it's more that the EA can push on both sides to speed things up a little, if you're hearing back from your solicitor and happy with how it's going then I don't think there's a need.
But don't quote me.. I just got mine to push the vendors solicitors to return queries x

I may give them a call as we've just realised we don't need any of the current kitchen furniture (bar stools) and small table/chairs. I'm going to ask if the buyers want them or I'll get the council to take them away

My application to Aldermore went in last Thursday, they did a hard credit check that day and heard nothing since. Hard to know if that's good or bad! My MA said they usually come back asking for relatively random information but she was clear on holding off our application until we had everything - P60s, bank statements, payslips, evidence of gifted deposit, ID, home report (scotland). Both PAYE workers with no gaps in employment, so hoping they just have everything they need.
We are out of our rented house on 11th July as landlord is moving in, no family to move in with so really really nervous of this taking a long time leaving us homeless! If its a no, then at least we can go and find another rental in time (I hope).

I got my no really pretty quickly within a few days. So not hearing anything is pretty good id say.
