I noticed on the application process the drop down says Virgin Money (Northern Rock). Although, I guess a lot of people don't realise savings except the 'exclusives' for current account holders are held in what was Virgin Money (Northern Rock) and current accounts and exclusives are held under Clydesdale/Yorkshire t/a Virgin Money.pbartlett said:just a heads up - if you get a text from nwide saying there was a problem transferring your isa from virgin money the solution is to call the number in the text and tell them the provider is yorkshire bank not virgin money1 -
In case it helps, mine didn't show up in my Nationwide online banking until the transfer had completed and the new ISA was open. I didn't receive any emails during the process at all but I did get 3 separate letters through the post after the account was open about the transfer, ISA declaration and (finally) the actual certificate. All took around 4-5 days to arrive.epm-84 said:Same with me. Also no new account is showing in the Nationwide app and nothing under an 'applications' section in the app.
I'm sure the last time I opened a new Nationwide account it showed a new account in the app within 24 hours of applying.1 -
That is useful. The confirmation screen did say we'll send you texts or emails to update you on progress with your application. However, maybe they just mean they'll text or email you if there's an issue e.g. if there's an error in the application or if there's a delay.refluxer said:

Comms are pretty poor from Nationwide in my opinion. I opened the account and requested two ISA transfers. £62k was taken from my old provider number 1 two weeks ago and I heard nothing specific about this from Nationwide (and nothing has appeared in online banking). When I called them they confirmed they have the money but the account will only be visible to me once the second ISA transfer has completed.1

Just had a text from NW saying a problem with my ISA transfer from Charter, I thought it was about the account number problem I spoke to them about last week but it wasn’t that.
Charter have rejected my transfer saying it was too far ahead (14th June) however NW told me they could submit transfers up to 90 days ahead and as it is within 90 days they will resubmit my transfer again if I could also speak to Charter to ensure they don’t reject it again.
I spoke to Charter and at first the guy said their transfers are only up to 30 days ahead and could see I had a problem, he then spoke to his ISA team and it turns out it can be up to 70 days ahead for transfers out.
So my term ends in 60 days so should be within their 70 days, but it would have also been within 70 days when it was applied for last week…
So not sure it will go through again this time.
I wonder if NW can keep submitting it until Charter accept the transfer even if the ISA applications are closed… I have my doubts… :

I still haven't received a transfer pack in the post a week later, is this normal?Ljc80_2 said:I have requested a transfer pack sent out to me to allow me to request to transfer my KR ISA.
But does this pack also act as a form to open the members ISA?
Hoping it is here soon as my KR ISA Matures on 20th and will automatically be put into another 1 yr fix at 0.41% if I do nothing.
Seems such a drawn out process i'm tempted to just leave it for the £250 or so difference in interest0 -

You could use the transfer link on page 16 and change the extension from jpg back to pdf as others have done and use those transfer forms to post to NW to save time.

I didn't get a transfer pack, but I did receive other letters regarding this ISA from the NW around 4-5 days after the date on the letter.
Even if your NW transfer pack arrived today, I think you might be pushing it for KR to receive a transfer request before the 20th - especially with a weekend in-between. Could one option be to select a KR ISA at maturity from which you could do a penalty-free transfer to the NW ? A KR Easy Access ISA perhaps ? (Obviously, check the T&Cs) I guess you'd need to be sure of doing something with it though, as the Easy Access rate will be around half of your 0.41% fixed offer.
BTW - is that £250 or £2.50 ? Presuming there's not a decimal point missing above, I would definitely be looking into options for a £250 difference, personally !

I know I should move it and chase the best interest. I'm worried now that I move it to an KR easy access and before I can get the Nationwide opened they withdraw the offer!0

Just wondering of course how many people are applying for this product which may explain the delays. While they may have 16 million members how many of them have £10k in a cash isa ready to transfer?Essex123 said:Comms are pretty poor from Nationwide in my opinion.
