Definitely ask him to chase them. I had a feeling because like I say, we have been asked nothing at all, not one single question! That was making me feel like they hadn't looked at it yet. 
They also told him that they are really behind now especially as it has been a Bank Holiday weekend as well. I don't even think I'll know much more today 🙈

Just had an email from MA to say he’s logged onto the portal and no further updates for us. He said he’s going to call them toward the end of the day. This is actual torture isn’t it!

I think I just wasn't prepared for it taking soooooo long! Friends of ours who have used big high Street banks have had their offers within a couple of days. I knew we would be waiting a week or more, but I didn't expect this level of delay! Just goes to show how crazy the housing market has gone doesn't it.

I know, this is ridiculously long now! I just wanna know. It would be such a long delay if they turn around now and say no!  that’s what I’m dreading. Trying to stay positive. I really hope we get some answers soon! Keep me updated

That's what I think because my main issue is the fact that my pension contributions are huge, it really affects my affordability. But other lenders don't take them into account! So if they say no I could have been a week or more into the process with another lender who won't worry about my pension. So annoying but I suppose every day is another step closer, we just have to look at it that way.

I spoke to MA and he said ours has been with underwriter since 1st document was requested as he can see her name on all the logs. Also the processing team don’t review docs only underwriter. So I’m gonna assume like he said that the underwriter has been reviewing ours, but who knows. Do Saffron take them into account for sure? Or are you assuming? Yep one day closer

Wow that's unbelievable how long it has taken then! I thought it was on 2 or 3 days for the underwriters to do their bit. 
Well they are one of the only banks that ask for the pension contributions in their affordability calculators so I'm basing it on that really.

Ah interesting about pension. Mine is just the standard so I don’t think it makes much difference. Let’s see if they ask you any questions then and I will assume they might ask the same for us.

Unfortunately we have had a million questions now asked. They clearly hadn't looked at our application until today 😔 not sure why.
