That’s insane! Ours went in on the same day. I really hope they just fast track yours and you get a valuation soon. I wonder how long it’s taking from Valuation too  let’s a keep positive! Has your MA gone back to answer all the questions?

They want some evidence of stuff too which is going to take a few days to get together, like what my maternity pay will be each month until I return to work. I think they ate being really harsh to be honest but it is what it is - it's their money to lend as they see fit! Then probably another 8 working days or even more once we get the paperwork to them. 
I'm so disheartened now. I didn't feel comfortable with this lender in the first place but i trusted our adviser and now I wish I had gone with my gut and asked him to go for another lender. 
It's just so unfair because I am more than confident we can afford probably three times the monthly payment. Yet we have friends who scrimp and scrape to afford their mortgage each month as their so frivolous with money, yet have a mortgage twice the size of what we are applying for, and are constantly taking out new credit...car loans, buy now pay layer. Etc. 

I'm very bitter as you can see 🤣😔 oh well. Off to bed. Tomorrow is a new day and all that! And there's certainly worse things in the world so think I need to give myself a good shake and stop being so moody about it.

Don’t feel disheartened. They wouldn’t ask all these questions unless they were going to progress you! That’s the way I look at it. Yeah we had to send proof of my maternity pay too previously. It’s just strange yours hadn’t been looked at till now. Something must have gone pretty wrong as that timeline is all off! 

Either way you are fine to feel !!!!!!, most people would. I hope you can get all the docs to them quickly and it all progresses. Keep me updated once all sent.

Thanks. Spoke to my broker again this morning and he is sending documents plus lots of explanation. He was shocked himself as in his words, we are WELL within the affordability for the payments. But it is what it is. He did say we are now at the back of the queue again though so if it takes as long as it did this time, then I can't see me knowing anything more for the next 2 or 3 weeks. So frustrating!

Well that’s certainly increased hasn't it!!
Valuation day tomorrow for us, so I’m sure the 8 day period will start again after that. So frustrating. 

Any news from the valuation??

Great news on the valuation... and also very annoying about the further questions! I completely understand your frustration and how you’re feeling. Just think though, if they were going to decline it they would have done they - they obviously have to make sure they can justify their decision, so look at it in a positive light
we havn’t had the valuation report through yet. It’s getting to crunch time now as the rest of the chain is getting twitchy! We originally offered on this house end of January, that’s how long the process has been with Saffron! It’s a joke really the amount of backward and forwards there’s been.

They’ve said that the ‘portal’ (whatever that is?!) will update to show the report has been done. If all ok should hopefully get an offer through quickly after that as they haven’t asked any further questions. Although with the current delays it wouldn’t surprise me!!

Yes that’s what my MA has said might happen. I suppose as the BH took 2 working days, you should get an offer through maybe end of this week....ekkkkk fingers crossed for you. So exciting!
