Oh goodness sorry to hear that. This 11 working day thing is a bit of a joke isn't it. Maybe they should pause taking on new applications for a few days until they catch up a bit🤷♀️🙄0

I think the valuer was instructed Tuesday 2 days before he contacted the estate agent, then he didn't show up for next day Friday app and finally did it this Monday. So overall 6 days lead time. Then 1 day after was the offer.kennedy1989 said:khc1112 said:I got the formal offer a few mins ago, MA phoned to tell me, so very quick from valuation to now. Good luck with yours I'm sure it'll be this week given you and I are on exactly the same timeline and same lender...
Out of interest when was your valuation instructed? They said to my MA because our was instructed last Tuesday and then put back into underwriter queue on weds that it’s 11 working day turn around.I wonder if our valuer was slow also to upload the report and maybe held things up.Another whole week of waiting coming up for us.
Unfortunately the postcode was wrong on the offer document and now I've had to ask Saffron to re-issue it, but it has to be sent back to the underwriters again for checks with valuer that he was at the correct place and presumably then final checks again etc, probably back in a queue. So officially I don't have a offer again!

OP, are saffron an adverse bank or is there anything complicated about your needs? Seems like an awfully long time. I hope it comes through soon 🤞0

No not adverse, but they were one of the only choices we had when it came to my hubby who’s Self employed and had taken a grant and also at 90 LTV. I know now more lenders are open to it, but back when we applied it was slightly different.lonibra said:OP, are saffron an adverse bank or is there anything complicated about your needs? Think the long waits are due to the fact that Saffron are such a tiny building society and they have been inundated with applications. I am wishing we just out 15 percent down as it turns out when we sold for more than we expected, we could have afforded it and gone with a bigger lender. But hey ho.lonibra said:OP, are saffron an adverse bank or is there anything complicated about your needs? Seems like an awfully long time. I hope it comes through soon 🤞
Kennedy1989 - I am completely disheartened by the whole thing and am sure it will be next week before I hear anything further. An 11 working day SLA is bloody crazy but I suppose it shows how mad the market has gone.
So jealous of two of our friends though who bought after us, applied to larger lenders and have had their offers for more than a week though 😩0 -
I know, it’s just so annoying this wait. The website says 13 days now! But I’m hoping as we are both in the queues that it’s still what they had said. They said to my MA by Thursday EOD we should have a decision.Let’s just hope they can honour that Timeline.I’m still fingers crossed for you and the valuation being booked!0

Oh my goodness 13 days! 🤣 this is becoming laughable now. I actually feel like I'm getting past caring 🙈 if this doesn't go through, I think we will be going back to the drawing board and applying for an 85 percent LTV with a bigger lender. I can't go through this again.0
