Just received 3rd debt recovery letter this one claiming final notice 30 days to legal action. Can I assume that if I hear nothing after 30 days the case is closed
No, it is unsafe to make that assumption.

Who has sent this latest letter to you?
Does it match the description of a Letter Before Claim given in the second post of the NEWBIES thread?

If it includes financial forms it's a formal LBC ( probably ) , so may need a LBC reply

Otherwise it's a debt collector letter

The matter is never closed unless paid or a judge says so in court after a court claim

Then it is clearly a debt collectors letter.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters.

We don't need any threads about DRP and nor do you!  Waste of your time talking about this letter.

Read the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread and promise not to come back telling us about the next letter from 'Zenith' (the NEWBIES thread already covers all this, with pics of the letters).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If it is from DRP then they are still away with the fairies.  They can do ZERO let alone threaten you with 30 days or going to court ...... It's not their debt, it is owned by Euro.

Serious (CCJ if you ignore it) but easy to defend & there's no risk. We know what to do.
