HB thanks. I have long hair, so I regularly remove the brush and remove the hair. There is no hair wound around it (it isn't picking it up!), but is getting clogged with dust. Re the filter: do you take it apart and wash it, or just run it under the tap (as per the instructions)? I only found out this week that it comes apart, and lots of crud gets stuck in there! I found a video on the tube.
I will goggle it again tomorrow - it is driving me nuts!!

HB Well done with the photos. It must be a good day for them: I've finally, about 5 minutes ago, finished the photobook I said I'd do for Mum covering three of our holidays together....er the last one was 2019. I'd forgotten how long it takes if you want to DIY and choose sizes/backgrounds etc rather than tell the software to 'arrange'. However I'm really pleased with it and hopefully she will too. Never did find my camera ones from the first hol, just a few that were on my phone, so clearly I deleted them accidentally at some stage (or will find them tomorrow, nanoseconds after I've sent the order off). I think it ended up about 320 photos, including maps, copies of tickets etc. At least I can write in her mother's day card tomorrow 'present in post'; my brother has been with her for a day or so and got some flowers from both of us.
So what else have I done for the last few days:
 - went for a run yesterday
 - had a long chat with manager re going back to uni or doing remote assessments. Agreed to start one face to face per week from the end of March, timed so I can do the lateral flow test in the morning and the assessment pm. Then I will also do 1 or 2 of the shorter remote assessments per week. That way I only have to go out into the big wide world once a week.
 - having continued discussions with a small group of assessors on all the new regs.
 - kept on top of washing, putting away clothes etc
 - did a load of gardening yesterday while the weather was sunny.
Very behind with most other things, but at least the photobook was a lingering frog.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10

Oh and ds1 put the washing up away for me
And oh Hoovered the lounge .. bless him 🙏
I am so very pleased they are helping out, that is as it should be.. so long as OH is careful.. has he still not heard from the drs? It's been a while hasn't it.. they do like to keep us worrying! xx I hope no news is good news. They are doing stuff for themselves too.. not just 'for you' the household chores aren't all your responsibility.. shared house, shared jobs especially when you work too.. this is why so many mums and female partners end up in burnout, trying to do everything.. I do a LOT of delegating. There are 10 people living in my house, 6 including me are adults, and I am NOT cleaning up after them all, I frequently have the 'I'm not the maid' yell... usually as I dump a binbag of their junk on their snoring heads.. They only ever once leave their shoes in the kitchen though.. I fling them down the garden.. haha.
I have a leaky shower.. and my kitchen ceiling is hanging by a thread.. I swear there is only paint holding it together.. I can't afford anything to be fixed. I lost a huge grant to have repairs because I couldn't scrape £1500 together.. it sucks.Today we have been to pets @ gnome and talked to the fish, floofed on a strangers muttley.. bought fluffer food and crinkly foil balls for Pudding. We have been playing fetch most of the afternoon with them.
OH has loaded the DW, and made lots of cups of tea.
I've done endless food, sold 2 ebeasty items, also loaded the DW, managed to fit an unpredented amount of bread in the freezer and done very little else.
Tomorrow I need to tidy the landing, it is a pit and I can barely see floor.. Hope for a bit dryer weather so I can get some washing done and dried. I get to speak to the roofer guy about the rat birds, gutter and netting for solar panels.. I loathe rat birds, they give me the heeby-jeebies. I need to bobble to B00ts to pick up Boogs prescription... or I might make them go for it, it's not mine!
I really need to sort GP appointment but I don't have the energy to ring to be told there are no appointments when I get through 45 minutes after they open! WTH are GP's doing? Ours have still not seen patients since LAST MARCH! Telephone appointments and they simply don't ring, or won't give an approximate time they will ring so you sit and wait all day.. it is a disgrace! Pack ups need doing
OH can tidy the front room and clean the glittery bath (we rinsed roller trays in it so it looks like we drowned all the fairies in Pixie Hollow) and shuffle stuff in the back room if there is time. He can get some detritus out of the car too, it is a total sty and smells funky.Bring pavers round to the back before some degenerate steals them or throws them through the front window. He can get the 4 boxes of homebrew out of the front room too.. I do NOT live in a bar!
Also to be done .. cat trays, vacuuming, DW and S&S of kitchen and bathroom.. I don't care who does these but I am not!
Best sort school stuff for tomorrow.. Viledin, Twinkle needs PE kit, library books to go back, uniforms, shoes, find hair brushes..
DS1 wants to play with the weights in the shed so OH needs to shuffle about in there too.
Nothing going on here as usual then lol..
Love and hugs to everyone, I've not caught up with reading, I will do that tomorrow when I get chance.... Off to my nest.. xx

Iona.. Glad Dizzy is ok but such a shame about more flooding.. I think I'd say to heck with the house and live in a tent somewhere up a mountain! lol
Dance.. I'm dreading my mother popping her clogs.. thankfully she has nothing at all I would want to keep so nothing will come here, the house is paid off but I think my sister will want to live in it.. it is all such a mess. When you are trying to deal with your loss and sort everyting, it is just too much. I hope you can do it in your own time at your own pace and take some time to grieve and regroup.. ((hugs))
now I AM going to sort things and go to bed... nn xx

Two full days at the paid stuff loom. I will be fit for nowt.
Recycling out. Was going to put shredding out but multiple bins have already been blown over; loose sacks of shredding have no chance. Morning all
Gale force winds outside, so plans to pot up some seedlings in the gh are postponed until it is less scary in there.
I am on both school runs at random times today. More driving practice (did I say that DD’s test has been cancelled again?), petrol to get. DH has been told that he will be wfh until at least June. In one way he is quite happy about that, and he will be around when we go into the unknown with DD. On the other hand, he has been under house arrest for a year now, and actually wants to see real people - considering he can be such a grump!Bed stripped, wm on. Will fit in HHI before I need to go. Dinner to go in sc.
Have a lovely day all, safe from the wind if it’s bad where you are x8

I will goggle it again tomorrow - it is driving me nuts!!I take the filter out of the machine and run it under the cold tap, squeezing it over and over until the water runs clear. The shape and type of filter varies between machines so what works for mine may not be the same for you. I'm pretty certain mine doesn't come apart. If it's not picking up and it's not because the roller is clogged have you checked the suction? I wouldn't know what to suggest other then phoning Dyson and describing the problem to their Customer Services - I've only had to phone them once and they were really, really helpful.Well done on getting your album sorted out for your mother, Narco. As you say, the missing photos will turn up as soon as you don't need them any more.I could never have dealt with all of my photographs had I tried to sit down and do it as 'A Project'. I tried that either last year or the year before, and ended up with thousands of photographs in bundles in punch pockets with rough dates on them and no idea what to do next. They sat up on the top of the dresser in my office for at least 18 months along with at least 10 albums that were falling apart, with crinkled plastic pockets and non-sticky sticky sheets shedding all over the place. Setting a target of dealing with a very few photographs every day increasing with the date broke the block completely and was exactly the right way for me to deal with what had become a problem. I have to say it's given me HUGE confidence in now dealing with some of the other mountains of gibble I've collected over the decades, and had thrust upon me by parents who apparently never threw anything away. When I bought this house they used to arrive in a fairly big car every few weeks for quite some time over the next few years, loaded down to the gunnels with STUFF. Mountains of stuff I'd never seen before, didn't want, all of which went straight up to the attic because I honestly thought I should want it and be grateful and I just wasn't. A lot of it is still up there - but not for much longer. I'm with Dusty on this - never mind selling it, just GET IT GONE.Today's score is 121 more computer files, together with another 6 folders, and 53 bits of paper. I have to say giving myself permission to stop once I've reached the daily target is very, very liberating and means as soon as I lose the incentive, I do.
 Better is good enough.9
