Morning all (again!)
I managed another couple of hours, but gave in and got up just before 6. I've let the hens out, made crumpets for the children and whacked the heating on, it's absolutely freezing here as the wind whips through this place. It's definitely a two brew morning here. I'll crack on with my batch cooking when I've come round a bit more.Mother Nature heard me ask for dry weather and has delivered heavy rain so nothing will be done outside today, other than cleaning the girls out which is a necessity.
Have lovely days all xx9 -
Morning xx
I'm up, my bed is made and I've brought the laundry hamper down. First brew is being savoured. I have Madonna's 'Holiya-ay' (slight modification a la Round) tootling round my head as this is Day 1 of 10 non work days. Woot Woot. Yabba dabba doooo.
A few plans: boiler service Thursday am; optician's recheck (and hopefully new glasses will be ordered) Thursday 1pm; pick up prescription Friday....you know all the exciting stuff
Where did Mademoiselle go? And is no-one in touch with Jojo?
asb is right - definitely a two brew morning. Then I'll get dressed before formulating a Round.
Much love to you all

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
I've not posted for a few days as work has been super busy now the schools are back. I was in bed by 7.30 last night, got up a couple of times then up properly at seven this morning. I feel much better for it too. I don't have the dogs this weekend so today is all mine.So far, I have made progress getting dog beds washed while they're not here and I've changed the sofa covers. Planning to properly clean the rug they like to sleep on, do knitting and take up some curtains. Oh, and like Piggers, I need to sort out my eyebrows.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Good morning. I am awake but lazing in bed - it is the weekend & I can hear rain so I am in no hurry to get up! Grumpy dog is snoring & I can feel the weight of crazy kitten on my feet! He is getting so big now!
As I mentioned, DD2 is buying her first flat with her BF. It is all moving along. So we have plans in this house! DS is in the box room. He is 22 and it is bursting at the seems with gadgets & stuff! He is moving into the back bedroom, and busy planning that. Before that happens, we will move in there temporarily so we can get my bedroom sorted. There is a hole in the bedroom ceiling which needs fixing, and the carpet needs replacing. Oh, and we will decorate while we can. We have huge wardrobes, full of 'useful stuff'. There is a single wardrobe with 3 units above our heads, which I am sure is starting to sag! 😱 That needs to be emptied & got rid. The loft is already full! 😭 I woke up with the idea of ordering some big boxes to sort stuff. EG a box labelled 'camping' (why is the camping stuff stored above my head when it should be in the loft?! 🤷♀️) I AM going to get rid of this junk! There is a box of cds I plan to go through too. Even if its only my ones I get rid of. Wish me luck!!
DD2 is coming home for a week - she has been living at her BFs since the start of the year. She takes regular tests, so we are okay.
The sun has come out now, so I suppose I should get up!
Have a good weekend everyone 😊

Morning Flyers
Have achieved very little flying wise this week as paid stuff is full on atm. Successes are:
Finally repaired S&P pots - only taken about 4 years
Some of my seeds have sprouted
Picked up my new glasses
on top of laundry and half changed my bed.
we are all still alive including the 4 mogs.
Oh and I did Pilates most mornings and checked that I'm not due any screening this year.
Showered, need to go to a supermarket to buy flowers and a few bits and then I'll go visit my mother today (and collect my new walking boots, finally back in stock, from the town she lives in
)
Due to walk with somebody I haven't seen in years later oh and I did a walk with somebody yesterday. This will be far too much social interaction in 2 days so will not wish to speak to anybody until Monday.
I will aim to fly and delegate today and the house is a tip.
I did spend one evening sorting the tool boxes, I need some boxes with compartments to put in all the screws that I have started to sort my size and shape for no reason other than it was rewarding with my new glasses until I got bored of it. They are all in empty yoghurt pots and egg boxes on the kitchen sides.
Will catch up tonight or tomorrow. Have a good day all despite the cold and the wind. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair9 -
Second load of washing in, downstairs hoovered, kids dressed and playing out, spaghetti bolognese simmering on the hob.9

Morning all,
Feeling restless this morning, it must be the wind howling around outside. I am also home alone, which is weird. DD is at work, DH has gone to home town to stand on a relative’s doorstep whilst several bits of legal paperwork are signed. The wm is swishing. I have a list of jobs, but can’t get the motivation or the energy. I ought to get a wiggle on.
Dancemum - hugs, I hope tomorrow turns out well for all of you x9 -
Got a letter from the high school Squeak is not setting foot in.. and now I am cross.. How dare they assume I will roll over and 'do as I'm told'.. I've never done that in my life.. I male mules look sweet and compliant!
Fed fluffers, let Hazel out, growled at the post, snaffled and apple and made a brew.. Its damp and frosty out there.
Today OH can clean the kitchen fix Moomins door properly so it actually closes.. blooming joiners.. can't get the staff.
The 'fixed' gutter is now leaking at BOTH ends.. only a little but it is still leaking.. fed up now.. can I just remove it and let the torrent waterfall down to the ground?!
Caught up on insta and FB.. everyone elses life is as boring as my own so that's made me a bit happier..
Oh.. I couldn't see the fish so I have had my arm in the tank moving stuff until I located her but the dubbers which hold the filter on have come off and been lost to the murky depths of the plants and gravel.. but I found Sarah and she is fine, I was terrified she would be dead in the filter or something, but she is fine.PHEW!!!

Dailies done, facial hair now tamed, last of the dog beds is in the machine and I've taken up one curtain which has left my fingers very sore. Will be playing a little solitaire and then doing some knitting before attempting the second curtain.Spend less now, work less later.10

Downstairs given a proper dusting, less said the better. Vacuum poked around, kitchen and utility floor mopped, and toilets and sinks sloshed. With a cuppa, waiting for the floors to dry.
Next job - search about under the stairs to see if there are any remnant jars of hm jam or marmalade lurking. DH has ploughed through it all in the past year, for some strange lockdown reason. Oh and I had a slinky weigh in, the first for 3 weeks. In that time I have put on half a stone, not sure how when I have been steady since I lost that same half stone last summer.10
