Today I am grateful for a lovely day at work, for dd managing to do online school, for a phone call from her head of year to see how things are going, for dd being able to 'do' her ballet class online by being an observer, for so much sunshine.

@mothernerd love Torchwood!
So yesterday struck a bit of a surprise...my hot water bottle leaked and well, the bed was a wet mess. Lots of laundry and the laundrette to dry the one bit of my all year round duvet in the tumble dryer. Tried to wash and dry 2 pillows, the washing was ok, but not the drying. Going to cost a small fortune. I am going to let the laundrette launder the thicker bit of the duvet. £25 but it's a good duvet. Same can't really be sad for the pillows! So I have got the spare ones out and the ones I washed are going to have to go. Definitely not worth the drying time at the launderette in the money or my time. So expensive! But I will have a very fresh bed later hopefully. Slept in the living room last night.
I don't start work until noon, going to do a bit more sorting out, and cleaning. The flat is feeling fresh and clean, just amping it up a bit more. Not leaving much time for dressmaking though.

Hi everyone
thanks calling xx i share your pain re BGas - i'm waiting for them today, 4th time lucky.... been waiting since January.
Was very stressful chez Deni yesterday as DD2 is full on with her uni finals. I read one of her submissions to check grammar etc and now i think i'm a neurolinguistics expertAfter she pressed 'send' we went for a long walk, which was lovely, then i did my exercise class via Fb which was really hard as my feet and knees were aching
I woke up at 5am and logged into work before 7 so i shall be in bed very early.
DrCarrie - hot water bottles are very small but when they burst they seem to produce a flood! i use one about 11 months of the year
oh heck f0xh0les, hope no one else gets ringworm
love Deni xLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

Debt free dreamer omg waiting since Jan? What a nightmare.Actually I cancelled my appt with BGas today, after I had a chat with heating engineer I know. As I pay BG at least £215 a year for boiler cover, might take the plunge whilst still in a job and get a new boiler mine probablly was around in the 80's and new boilers some have 10 to 12 years breakdown insurance included. I can buy one through work its cheaper but and big but my house will be turned upside down again, not that it is straight yet, bathroom guy finishing this morning. Think suck it up and get it all done now. Anyway see what he recommends popping over tomorrow.The other news item, covid jab done whilst everyone seems to feel tired after it I was like a duracell bunny all night couldn't sleep even got up at 5.30 this morning. Now seem to be tired lack of sleep.NSD boosted by my lazyness to go out at lunchtime to 11/17.Grateful forFinding a great gas engineerOnly 2 hours left in work, I need sleepHomemade red pepper and lentil soup for lunch.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

Did a few if those niggly jobs that take 5 minutes but you keep putting off. I’m not really doing well with getting into a routine and getting things done. I think lazy lockdown is getting to me again. I have started reading again because I wasn’t managing well with that either.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
apple_muncher said:Are you keeping him separate from the others?He has his own set of bright yellow towels, and his clothes are to go into his clothes bin in his bedroom. They will all be hot washed. He is being blobbed with cream 3 x a day and all offending areas are covered by his clothes (11 yr old boy loves his mum stripping him and applying cream - not!! but he can't see them all without turning into an owl).Told the school, but they have not bothered to tell the other parents - and as not everyone is red haired and blindingly pale skinned, it could quite easily be mistaken for a graze or a scrape, if you did not know what to look for. Quite a few of his friends have acquired kittens and dogs since Xmas, so I assume that is where it has been passed on from.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
