Today I am grateful for dd only needing painkillers on waking and on going to bed, for 30 mins of weeding making a difference in the front, for reading some docs for work which took me much less time than I expected, for a good walk with a friend, for my yummy hm satsuma curd on toast.

Hi turtles.Congratulations @Deni_debt-free_dreamer it is such a relief. Well done.Friday turned into a rubbish day got home, thinking bath fitted looking for nice hot bath and boiler wasnt working. Then B Gas engineers are on strike over weekend back in tomorrow. Wasted 40 mins hanging on to be told that. Got a takeaway first one this year as was feeling fed up and ate chocolate.Saturday 2 lads turned up at 8am to crack on with the bathroom. I had a roll and coffee on the promenade as I was staying out of the way, before hairdressers. Cancelled sky took ages to do that. Still can't find flooring I want had a look around where was open.Sunday tip run, unblock hoover, clean filters, big food shop as freezer was looking sad.Monday yes finally a NSD so up to 10/17 NSD but determined not to spend now. Off for my vax jab later.Grateful forNice weather, washing dried.Phone call off my baby in Canada, with one of her mushing dogs joining in.Distraction of football and films this weekend. Hello my wonderful turtle friends, hope everyone is well.
Sorry I have been awol, I have just done a second interview for the job I did the tests for a while back, so I’ve been preparing for that and seemingly unable to focus properly on anything else!
I've had lots of NSDs as I've been at home studying and generally behaving.
Grateful for the real possibility of having a shiny new job (apparently I'm on the shortlist but who knows)
I am off to catch up on your posts!

NSD No 17
A bit colder today but I've managed to get the washing done.
Made stock with the "doings" from yesterday's dinner and it's now a kind of minestrone soup using bits and bobs from the freezer, fridge and store cupboard. Lots of meat left as well which made a nice salad for me at lunchtime and a toastie for Himself. The rest is in the freezer to make soup for the Boy.
The mission this week is to use up things that have been in the freezer for a while. Eating lots of veg.
House cleaning pencilled in for tomorrow.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Hello turtles,
I hope you’re all well.
Sorry for being so absent. It’s been a week since I checked in and honestly don’t know why. Just fell out my routine in every way. I’ve lost track of NSDs so I’ll just pick up from my last update 8/17. I’ve missed 6 pages of posts so I’ve some catching up to do!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7 -
@Calling14 I hope you have a better Monday!
NSD number 15 here, work has kept me nice and busy which I suppose is a good thing for my bank balance but lots of frustrations at work to deal with which isn't so good! My back is starting to go backwards despite twice daily physio which is worrying, I'm starting to think the stress of work is making it worse.
Trousers and leggings arrived today, all looking good, finally found some leggings that aren't see through and are also long enough for a tall person!7 -
Cut my hair. Had to spend money because mum (who keeps telling me not to send for anything because we have lots) is on the verge of running out of something she needs. This was after I'd sorted two minor crises - much anxious counting of pills. I've now asked her to leave it to me to sort out the pill containers once a week as I'm sure she has been using things in the wrong order and may have mixed two pills up because she's only looking at the packaging and not reading the contents.
I have digger envy. The man next door is having some work done and the men have a mini digger which is much easier than using a spade, shovel, trowel and claw gloves. I still ache from yesterday so have no desire to do anything strenuous today. Purposeful pottering has been done (trying to make progress without messing up anything I've already done).
Today I am grateful for books (rereading a recently acquired series), puzzles (my brain seems to be working again - was absolutely stuck on some but it is now going better) and tv on the laptop (rewatching Torchwood). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6
