  • Hello, you have done amazing and I'm subscribing to watch you ride the last waves of debt goodbye.

I need to try vinted! Atm I'm selling on marketplace and ebay. Do you have any tips on low cost packing - I was thinking jiffy bags or parcel paper? Not sold anything for ages and now I've got 5 ebay items that will sell in the next few days. Knowing its money that's going towards debts is exciting!

Hope you've had a good day xx
  • Hello @Deleted_User - thanks for popping by! I am (so far) sticking to my debt free date so hopefully in 18 months I will be in a VERY different position with some savings behind me. :)

In my opinion, Vinted is much better than Facebook and eBay, in terms of packaging, I think it depends on what it is you're selling.  I have plastic packing/postage bags which I picked up in bulk on eBay which is great for clothes and my designer bags which have their own dust bags which offer more protection.   For smaller items I buy packs of jiffy bags from B&M to use they're inexpensive and protect the item.  Anything more bulky I have to sell I just save delivery boxes and re-purpose those.

  • Morning all, up early again and about to warm some croissants and make strong coffee to start the day, I may even have them in the garden, it's a glorious morning.

PADs counted and I have sent £1 to CC7 and 98p to SPC this morning... when I went to update my signature it had gone back to March totals so that confused me somewhat!! Anyway, that has been corrected and I'm now up to date again.

Not sure whether today will be a NSD or not. Hubby is going away next week for 2 weeks so he has mentioned going out into town for a few drinks and some food. I don't mind either way so we will see how we feel this afternoon as the football is on and our telly is bigger than the ones in most pubs :D

Off to pop some laundry in and sort breakfast

Hope you have a good time.  It’s nice to have a nice deserved treat!!
  • Enjoy your night xxx
  • Morning! You can probably guess why it's a late update from me :D but I am now up and about and on my 2nd coffee... The drinks in town were very good and the weather was lovely too. It almost felt like we were on holiday!

PAD made of £1 to CC7, I need to be mindful as the car is in for MOT tomorrow and I have a feeling that it will need some work, hopefully if it does, it won't cost the earth. Today will be a NSD, number 7 for June. Obviously tomorrow won't be but I am hoping to get some more in this coming week as I've set myself a target of 16 in June and there's a fair few left to get to that!

I hope you all have a good day, I'm off out for a picnic dog walk so that will be nice.

  • Just sold another purse on Vinted… plus, the last buyer now has their item and the money has been released. Good times :)

  • Urgh, Monday is here again and the sun isn't even making an appearance to make me feel any better... I am tired as we stayed up later last night after watching Soccer-Aid.  I'm not used to late nights anymore :D  Despite being tired, I have had a lovely weekend :)

PADs counted and mine has been made this morning, broadband DD and a nice round £1 to CC7. Today will not be a NSD as I have the car in for MOT this afternoon. I am dreading it, but have the EF to cover anything that might be needed. I will post the Vinted sale on the way to the garage, and perhaps use some of my Starbucks gift card to grab a nice coffee.

No change to the credit scores, I have been re-jigging my debt repayment plan and with just £1 daily overpayments I think I can beat my target DFD by 1 month. I have also decided that as my CC debt is 0% interest and can be cleared before this ends, I am going to concentrate overpaying into the car account to get that where it needs to be and then go all in on the card. I know I always change it up every few months, but it keeps my focus so I'm happy to keep reviewing it.

Today is busy at work too, so I have calls to attend whilst I am waiting for my car.  Non-stop...stressy day...but hubby is doing the grocery shop later and he's cooking curry tonight too so at least this evening I can relax a bit.

Oof, long post, sorry about that :)

  • Well, the car now has an MOT but it wasn't without some repairs, something to do with the suspension and a ball joint (?) I have no idea, but it's now all fixed and I'm £150 lighter in the EF.  I don't use the car much as I work from home and when I do I try to take routes without the spiky speed bumps as there are some close-by.  Hubby routinely uses these roads as his van is much wider than my car so I am placing this repair firmly at his door!  There are also loads of pot holes around here which I do try my best to avoid.

Oh well, it's sorted for another year now. Just the service at Christmas to go next... Sealed pot will hopefully pay for that.

I feel better now as I can stop worrying about it :)
