Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday.2

We really did, we went to a local board games convention (not everyone’s cup of tea) and took part in some demo games, found a lovely place for lunch on the way back and then spent the rest of the day playing the games we had bought there.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711

Good morning
It's so lovely and sunny here, I feel very positive!
I had a lovely evening with friends last night and as I was driving and therefore drinking soda water I didn't spend much at all. I've popped a bit more to CC7 and SPC this morning as my PAD so that the remainder doesn't get frittered on nonsense.
It's credit score update day today for Credit Karma and Clearscore, but I have no changes so I'm happy with where they stand (632 and 791 respectively.)
I've moved my 'extra' cash to the spends account so I know what I have left for the end of the month and it's not looking too bad really which is good as I still have 2 birthday events to attend. I just have to remember not to reach for my other cash card when out and about.
Still due to have 3 NSD's this week and Sunday should be too. Work will keep me busy anyway!
Hope everyone has a good day
LMD x

Yesterday turned out to be a NSD after all as hubby was feeling a bit under the weather so we cancelled our plans for the evening.
PAD of £6.97 to CC7 this morning, not yet updated my signature so that’s my next task.
Bit down on work at the moment and feeling a bit meh. I’m sure once it gets to Friday I will feel better… I just seem to be in a lot of meetings at the moment where I’m not necessarily needed and it feels a waste of time. I’m sure I will snap out of it!
CC7 balance for the final payment is now under £1k mark so that’s encouraging, although it’s more than a year away and given the current energy/fuel prices things may change before then
Today is set to be another NSD, I’m not going anywhere except to walk the dog.
Hope you all have a good WednesdayLMD xLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711 -
Morning! The sunshine is back with makes me happy, although it's still really cold outside at the moment.
PAD made to CC7 (£4) and SPC (£1.30) this morning, the PAD team seems to be a little thin on the ground at the moment, probably due to the increased cost of living. The whole forum seems to be quiet these days, or perhaps it's just my bookmarked selection... who knows? I am determined not to fall off the wagon again.
Payrise has been confirmed, not a lot but it's better than nothing. Due to the increased NI payments I am not sure yet what this means for my take-home pay so I will have to wait until April pay day to see what extra I actually end up with.
I am enjoying seeing CC7 balance dropping. Should be another £450 from next month's pay too which will take it below the £8k mark. My spreadsheet is constantly being updated to see if I can bring that debt-free day closer but it's not happening as yet. 14 months to go.
My debt free by Xmas 2022 figure is also looking strong, and although I won't be debt free by then at least I will know just how much effort I've made this year.
Hope everyone has a good day! I'm off for some cereal and another brew.

A bit of a later check in for me today, I didn't want to get up after a late night and then ended up rushing around so I could start work on time.
PADs counted and mine has gone to CC7, I sent a bit more later to round it down! Making good progress there I think.
Updated Credit Karma score has changed and is down by 1 point - I think I can live with that
Today is a NSD, I had some lovely toasted hot cross buns for breakfast, it was a shame it wasn't warm enough to sit outside to eat because the sunshine is delightful.
6 days left before pay day, I think I should have another 3 (maybe 4) NSDs before then. Here's hoping anyway!
Hope you all have a fabulous Friday

Good morning and welcome to the weekend.
PADs counted and my own small additions to CC7 and the SPC this morning (totalling £2.28) I was up early with the dog which was helpful today as I'm trying to get through laundry and I already have the 2nd load in the dryer, it's too cold for line drying today. I'm also tackling the ironing - such a rock n' roll lifestyle I lead
Today won't be a NSD as we are out tonight for birthday celebrations and I need to do the grocery shopping this afternoon too. Too busy impersonating widow twanky with all this laundry for spending hahaha
The personal account is looking good considering it's only a week to pay day. But I know I have a couple of spendy days and I need to pay the deposit for my birthday meal out next Friday. Even so, we should definitely make it to pay day without running out of funds.
Council tax bill arrived yesterday, this is a bill that comes out of hubby's account but I was surprised to see it hadn't gone up as much as I had expected it to. Works out about 1.5% overall, we are band C so should be eligible for the £150 energy rebate coming later in the year too.
Right, off to do more laundry tasks!
Have a super Saturday

Good morning!
Just thought I'd check in as a lurker that often fails to say hello.
Judging from your signature, to come from ~£42K debt, down to ~£8K is a huge achievement in itself. You are so nearly there, well done! Safe to say I'm envious!
I'll be following along with your updates, keep up the great work and enjoy your day out.

Well hello there and thanks for dropping by 👋
yeas it’s been a bit of a mammoth task and there have been periods where it’s really impacted my mental health. But I’m so close now and I’m so determined to get to that lovely round zero!I think I struggle sometimes to realise that it’s a marathon and not a sprint as I’m impatient. But I also have an addictive personality so at least I’m clearing debt this time and not creating any! 😆
Have a lovely weekend

What a lovely day it was yesterday and today looks to be the same weather wise. I will be cooking a roast chicken dinner this evening with all the trimmings and watching the football. Perfect end to the weekend if the score is good!
PADs counted this morning and a bank round down to CC7 for me again, hoping to get below the £8.3k mark before pay day which is definitely achievable this week. Today will be a NSD, which is good considering we spent quite a bit last night for the birthday meal. It was nice though and we enjoyed ourselves. No spending planned until Wednesday to be fair, unless something comes left field.
I've started to see a number of spiders and webs around the garden now so I need to do some research on how to try and repel them, I am spider phobic and there must be about 10 different species in our garden... not ideal
Hope everyone is having a nice stress-free Sunday
