How exciting that you can hopefully bring your debt free say forward :)
  • So, a lunchtime update from me today.  Not much going on due to feeling unwell, rubbish weather and work being busy.

Today will be my 5th (!) NSD in a row. Which is rather awesome for a shopaholic like me. I do have to go and get groceries tomorrow though, unless I can find something in the freezer but then I have a medical appointment on Saturday so I will have parking charges to pay.  Can't get groceries on the Saturday though as I have to take pre-meds which means I can't drive... some planning around the logistics is needed I think as hubby is working away. My head hurts just thinking about it.

PADs counted and £3 sent to CC7 for me. As I have upped my standard payments this month and I'm paying back to the car account it will only be very small PAD's but I should be able to afford at least £1 extra each day.

Tomorrow will be a bad day for the bank accounts as lots of DD's and bills come out, always such a sad day :( and then we limp on for the rest of the month until pay day and do it all over again :D

Just cannot wait to get this last card cleared, and enjoy saving instead, or throwing money at either the mortgage or my pension (or both!).  After all this effort I never want to spend money on a credit card again, unless it's for added protection and I pay it off immediately.

Bit of a random ramble today, so apologies for that...
    Enjoy your afternoons

Our account is the same. Looks reasonably healthy on the last day of the month but then most of the bills come out on the 1st and it's back to square one again  :D

  • My pay day is 27th so most months I have 3-4 days of joy before it gets drained :D
Oh well... at least it's no longer being frittered away!

I share your pain being paid monthly, it makes it easier to budget plan though!

    Additional pension contributions £0
    Overpayment on mortgage: £0
    Big Renno..£0

  • Morning everyone and happy Friday :)

@DrCarrie I have made a vow to myself that there will not be a 4th time, this is it now. Even if I have to sell my soul to Eon to pay for my utility bills I am not getting into any more debt.

PADs counted this morning early doors and the total for the month by all who contributed was over £5k so that just shows how the small things can add up!

It's the 1st so it's bills day for me... the accounts have been severely hammered but I have some left for personal spends and about £60 surplus in the bills account so it's not as bad as it could be.

I noticed when I logged in this morning that there's an MSE car insurance comparison tool that launched today.  Mine is due mid-next month so I thought I'd have a look and see.  £188 for the year - that'll do for me and will be returning to sort that on 18th April when it's my sweet spot for quotes. My home insurance is due on the same date, I pay both annually.  I had allocated money next month for these but if I am switching I will have to use the EF and replace it next month instead.  Will still leave me in the same position.

I have a very busy day ahead, including the grocery shopping and walking the dog seeing as the weather was so dire yesterday (he was having none of it!) The sun is out today but its very cold so he will need his coat on.

Hope you all have a good Friday, keep safe and warm :)

  • Bit of a later update from me today, just back from the hospital and still a bit woozy from the meds.  All done now though, just await results…

Not a NSD for me today, as I had the hospital parking charges, other than that it’s just been my PAD to CC7 of £1.51

I had planned to do some cleaning and sorting today but I need to sleep off the woozy feeling first. So depending on how I feel later that may have to wait until tomorrow.

    Have a good Saturday folks

Another lazy Sunday for me but I have made my PAD this morning, split between CC7 and the SPC.

It’s a NSD for me though as we have all we need in the cupboards.

It’ll be a few more days before the statement for CC7 has been generated and that’ll be the last big payment before pay day…. A looooong way off :D

Anyway, we keep plodding along til we get to that big lovely round zero!
