Given we went on holiday last year between lockdowns we'll be doing the same this year. Not much was formally closed but there was a tenth the normal tourists and so some things were better and some worse.
Were supposed to be going to Mexico but then lockdown 3 happened so will reschedule it for later in the year. Won't be going to Mexico City or one of the tourist hotspots so broadly should be fine and probably wait until we both have had vaccine0 -
According to the news this morning many people are taking the chance and booking foreign holidays. TUI say their bookings are up 500% and Jet2 1000%. If you are looking for bargains get in quick.

I looked at Jet2 because they were offering changes of dates etc and also a degree of covid cover on their insurance and they did have some very good deals.
According to the radio though, prices are shooting up both here and for travel abroad. I think I will resign myself to not going then review in a couple of months. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Not till i can get proper insurance cover. Or until I know how other countries are getting on with the vaccine and quarantine.
Don't believe all you hear about holiday companies having record bookings. It's like those labels you see on booking sites 'only one room left'. Yeah.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

We have three booked already, one moved from last year and two booked after enjoying a successful trip last summer.
We have Tenerife at the end of May. I think this may end up cancelled. If we are able to leave the UK I'm not sure tenerife will accept us by then and I think there may still be quarantine restrictions in place and I won't be able to do that with school / work. Our problem could be that we're with Ryanair and they may not cancel, and we can't amend as don't have any dates before Oct when we can travel. After Oct they are charging amendment fees which cost more than the flight! 😂
We have Cyprus booked for July, private villa so will be OK to keep to ourselves. Good chance they will let us in, and talks of no pcr tests from them if you've have the jab and we all will have by then.
Malaga in October and I'm hoping that all will be OK in Spain by then too. In malaga area at present bars are open, shops etc too and people can move between towns again so I'd be more than happy to visit if they let us.

I had a look at prices for the summer holidays today and quite a lot of holidays (for 5) around £2700 so quite a bargain in my opinion, we will however be leaving foreign travel until we have a better idea of what we can expect when we get there.
I'm the big 4 0 next year so thinking more about where I'd like to go for that but drawing a blank so farMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -

We've a break booked (from last year) to Turkey for August, don't have to pay balance until July (balance is sitting in savings account) so will just hold out for now.0

Not going any where untill its all over and back to normal. or as near normal as it's going to be. can't be bothered queuing at the air port. everybody all hot n bothered. too much stress. and then when you get there, keeping fingers crossed you can get home again. I'd rather stay where I am and just wait a bit.2
