It’s not that much off a issue right now as I can get my wages paid into a family member for this month just don’t want to be stuck like this for much longer, last resort is a engage prepaid card through my credit union waiting on there decision hopefully it worksJamesyb123 said:When is the cut off for your wages? How long do you have to sort this out?0 -
Have u tried Monzo?0

Yeah I have to be honest I think I’ve been done by fraud or people have my details, as I have hard searched and soft searches on my credit score from random things that I’ve never even applied forJamesyb123 said:Have u tried Monzo?0 -
You could use cifas to your benefit if that’s the case and get protective registration if you think that. Have you looked on the internet at other pre paid cards I think there’s quite a lot of them0

Ok sorry we didn’t manage to get you a result. I know these markers are our own fault but people deserve a second chance and I know how stressful it is.0

I wasn’t a money mule I’m not stupid like that I’ve seen all of that online and won’t fall for that, I simply sold items off clothing and a festival ticket online and received 3 payments into my bank account that literally had a total of about £55 and they blocked my account asked for everything said I sold clothing and can’t provide receipts as it was done in person so they put a Cifas marker on my file I’ve asked them to review it and they’ve said no there not removing it but I’ve never had any other financial trouble!2021BJ said:So you were a money mule?
What happened exactly?
I have had various bank accounts for 30 years or more both personal and business
I have never had a bank ask about money paid in
There must be more to this tale than you are telling us.
Who was supposed to have generated the receipts that the bank asked for ?
Why should a bank be remotely interested in either invoices or clothes?
Has someone complained ?
Misuse of facility is associated with fraud and I fail to see anything in your description that meets this criterion and it is stretching credulity that a bank would proactivly look at these transactions unless alerted

I’ve genuinely done nothing wrong and been banking with 2/3 different banks since 2014 with no problems,I think it’s because I didn’t use starling often then had 3 payments go in on the same day, totalling less then £100 for clothing etc Cifas are still investigating it.Jumblebumble said:

Well if everything you say is true lets hope the ombudsman orders them to remove it as on the face of it they have behaved disgracefullykieran_coster said:

Even if he is at fault he’s not asking for approval he’s asking where he can get a bank account, a couple of unhelpful comments on here as per usual0
