Hello all!Me again. Got a lovely email from DCB Legal a few days ago, seems like things are on the move again.
Dear [name],
We write in line with our previous correspondence whereby we note that your file was placed on hold whilst further evidence was gathered from our Client.
To clarify the Parking Charge Notices (PCN’s) were issued on the (early April) of April 2017 the (late April) of April 2017 and the (early July) of July 2017, at Ravensbourne London and Greenwich Peninsula, Cutter Lane. The PCN’s were issued for parking in a permit area without clearly displaying a valid permit.
The terms and conditions on the signs stated that parking was permitted for vehicles clearly displaying a valid permit. When parking on private land, the contractual terms of the site are set out on the signs. You are entering a contract and agreeing to the terms by parking and staying on the site. Parking in breach of the terms as stipulated on the signage means that you are then breaking the terms of the contract. A valid permit was not on display as is demonstrated in the photographic evidence attached. As such, the parking charges were issued correctly.
The Notice to Keeper was issued to you on the (late June) of June 2017 and the (early August) of August 2017. Copies are attached. You were afforded the opportunity to; appeal the parking charge, transfer liability to the driver (if it was not you) or make payment.
Further Reminder Notices were issued to you. Copies are attached. The notices reiterated that payment was outstanding and confirmed that legal action may be taken, and additional costs incurred if the parking charge was not paid. Payment was not made, and we have now been instructed to act on our Client's behalf.
As payment was not made, either within 14 or 28 days, our Client was entitled to instruct debt recovery agents / Solicitors to pursue payment and is entitled to recover the costs of doing so. It would have been made clear in the terms and conditions set out in the signs that additional enforcement costs may be incurred in the event of non-payment.
Upon review, you state our Client has failed to invoke keeper liability as per the requirements set out in the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Please note section 8 (5) of the Protection of Freedoms Act (POFA) state the Notice to Keeper must be sent within 58 days of the PCN being issued. As the notices were sent within the required time frame Our Client therefore has the right to recover the parking charge from you as the Keeper of the vehicle.
Please note, you are unable to appeal with POPLA as you would have needed to appeal the charges when they were first issued, as this was not done, you have lost the opportunity to appeal with POPLA.
It is for the above stated reasons that our Clients position remains unchanged and the balance of £170.00 is due
They then decided to send another email amending the amount to a considerably higher value.Anything I should be doing right now? I've already got the SAR's in hand from the PPC. (Did this much earlier this(?) year when they decided to bring these tickets up again).

Seems like they've decided to go after only 3; at least in this email.

The DCBL boss is invited to come on this forum to explain why his firm deals with money scammers, adds fake amounts, allows a certain MIA to sign a statement of truth which is not true, is a serial discontinue legal wasting the courts time ?
Does he have the guts ? what do you think ???
