  • Ofgem, I meant - sorry! Meanwhile I have come across their 'decision letter', which does provide some technical detail. Downloadable from here:

Im glad its not just me who is having a nightmare with EDF! We moved house on the 9th april, whereby we found out that GNE had gone into administration. No option on the website anywhere to tell them (gne) we had moved in. So I phoned up EDF,  whereby i was told id just have to wait for the transfer to take place (gave them the meter readings too)… its now nearly five months down the line, ive phoned them at least once a month, but i still have no account info whatsoever!!! Im starting to lose patience now, especially as i know there are price rises coming in. Im also worried about a hug3 bill as we haven’t paid anything for 5 months!
  • Hi,

Sorry if I've missed this information earlier in the forum but I'm after a contact for GNE.  I haven't received a final statement from them which i believe I should have done and want to chase them for it.  Has anyone here had one and able to share than info with me please?

Why worry about the bill?  You can take montly readings, calculate your own estimated bill based on the tarriff details and put the money aside.

This is what I have done having not received a bill for almost a year - not EDF.

I had decided to switch to another energy company, and the process is going through.  Due to a referral by a relative, both he and us receive £50 each credit on our bills.

Have had several emails from EDF asking whether I really wanted to leave, and today they they have offered £100 credit if we change our minds.
  • Today I finally had an acceptable statement from EDF. They had previously been double charging me because the final estimated readings with GNE were much higher than the starting estimated readings for EDF.

After over seven months of waiting, six separate online chats with their customer service, and several incorrect and cancelled bills, my account is finally up to date and should (fingers crossed) be ok from now on. Just in time for my tariff to run out at the end of the month!

It probably makes sense for me to switch elsewhere now but I'm not sure what I'll do yet. It's been so stressful to get through that a period of stability would be nice.
  • Anyone received their credit back from EDF yet?

Were you migrated to a EDF Welcome GNE Tariiff or did you switch away from GNE  ?????

Had an unintelligible final bill from GNE in August 2021.  Didn't keep paper copies of my GNE bills (fool!) and can't get to them.  Will need to ring them tomorrow.

Just had my first bill from EDF.  I am a dual fuel customer.  No gas mentioned.  No way of providing gas reading on website.  Oh - and they want to TREBLE my monthly Direct Debit payment.

And this was meant to be easy????
