Curve Card

I'm not sure if it is related to me getting an email from their CS yesterday asking me to 'explain' my purchase and pointing me to their ToS and Fair Use policy, as well as adding the phrase "Curve’s core value proposition is for day-to-day spend." I couldn't see I'd done anything wrong and I did email back what the purchase was. They responded my purchase was fine and they had removed the block from my card.0

Yes, it was a sofa, which I know is not an 'everyday purchase' but as far as I can see didn't break anything written in their ToS/T&Cs/Fair use policy. Can we ask what the purchase was?
I must admit the email has put me off them a little bit.0 -

I did once get warned that they would close my account if I didn't stop depositing thousands into NS&I to get the cashback from my underlying credit card......tbh, I had fully expected they'd stop me (and everyone else) doing this sooner or later, and I can't be angry with them over it.0 -

And while a little concerning, the review process was followed, and all was fine. Similar to the bank transfer calls we are all getting used to.
Wonder what flagged this as odd at their end.0 -
What is the curve contactless limit? I cant find an answer
Also is there a way to stop the annoying curve flex ads. They keep popping up every time i log on as much as i keep telling them i am not interested0 -

Question - I used my curve card at petrol today.
It said that the pay at pump 1 pound will be taken authorisation etc. Standard message and standard amount when ive used any card before
However, i got home and it shows £50 been taking through curve. Is this a common problem? I mean i filled up the tank which cost close to £100 but why would they randomly take £500 -

I don't use a lot of petrol myself, and when I need some, I usually use Tesco, and pay with Tesco Pay+ (linked to Curve). This means I have to pay at the cashier as the pumps don't take Tesco Pay+ - - - but I don't need to carry any cards with me, I don't get any random amounts pre-authorised and held, and the walk into the kiosk does me good 🤣0 -
The thing is i have used this debit card many times at the petrol station and it always coms as the standard £1 charge. However i noticed this time i used it it says £50 and also says curve on the transaction too. Is it normal for all transactions used by curve to state 'curve' on the transactions on your statements - that is a bit annoying. I mean when i use google pay it doesnt say google pay for all transactions.0
