As long as it is any supermarket, and not specific supermarket chain(s).

What is a specific supermarket chain? I get the 1% at Tescos, Waitrose, MS& Foodhall

Sorry, this was a general response, not specific to your RBS card.

If the cashback deal on the specific credit card is for any supermarket, it should work.

Some deals are different, as we know, e.g. Tesco credit card points.
Other credit cards may have similar exclusions, e.g not petrol station mini stores etc.

Oh right. I had assumed you knew that the Natwest/RBS card we were talking about pays 1% cashback on supermarket spend, and 0.25% on almost everything else.

What's the situation with Curve and Tesco Bank credit cards currently? A few years ago there was a fairly farsical situation where they started treating all Curve transactions as cash. The whole thing went on for months, but obviously I stopped using Tesco Bank via Curve at the time and haven't tried since; I'd be interested to know if it works now though.
Haven't used it for a while with my Tesco CC but last I heard it had been fixed and Tesco refunded anyone affected. If you're shopping in Tesco though, you're better off using the actual Tesco card for the extra clubcard points - Curve masks where the transaction happens so Tesco won't see it as an in-store spend.
Does this mean that NatWest won't be able to pay me my 1% cashback for supermarket spend, and it will only be 0.25%?
I use the RBS credit card through Curve, and I get 1% for supermarket purchases. The Natwest card should work the same.
Cheers. I've just ordered a Curve Card and trying to work out what will work and what won't. All very complicated, and will learn by trial and error!

    I actually prefer Revolut.

Got a great exchange rate when i changed my £ balance to Euros (1.18) its a VISA card which you just link to your current account.
Also use it to give the daughter some spending money as you can only spend whats on the card.

They do charge a one off £4.99 for a physical card but you soon recover the fee by referring people

Current bonus to refer is £60 until the 10th of May.  (up to 5 friends)

Got to be quick as your friend has to order a card, link bank account and make 3 purchases of £5 or more before the 10th.

I split the money so she benefited

I don't think Revolut and Curve are comparable as they are two very different offerings.

But even if they were comparable, I would prefer Curve any day, as their CS is, in my experience, vastly superior to that of Revolut.

I can't comment on NatWest but the last time I tried using Curve in a Tesco store with my old Tesco CC, I got the lower ClubCard rate rather than the in-store spend rate. It's probably worth a small test, as the other posters have suggested.

As to whether the card comes in a neutral envelope - I can't remember, it's years since I got mine.

Pretty sure mine came in custom packaging emblazoned with the Curve logo and maybe a slogan or two, and a slidey-out section to release the card.

I got a standard curve card last week, it came in a black window envelope, on a letter much like other bank cards.

I've got it, as I want to pay with my Garmin smartwatch, but Garmin support very few UK banks, and I don't need/want an account with another bank.

I am not normally one who gets excited about the card image, but I will make an exception for Curve.

The old card. Simple and classy (card details are on the back).

And the replacement card. Card details still on the back, and it is of course still contactless. But otherwise: Arrrgh. The only saving grace is that I don't have to use the physical card as I always use it through ApplePay.

I like the card design! It stands out in a crowded market (or purse/wallet)!
