Halifax Mortgage application (awaiting decision)

@TheLastMinute we were notified early in the AM by the EA that the valuation was booked in 2 days time. The tracker updated that evening to saying that valuation was booked for the 6th. Not sure what time the valuation took place at on the 6th but tracker was updated in the evening with a green tick.We initially wanted to go with a 95 LTV however whist the MA was keying in the info he said we weren’t meeting the scoring requirements for it. We don’t have bad credit at we just don’t have enough of
it and OH wasn’t showing on electoral roll for some odd reason so went with 90 LTV instead which is fine just means instead of doing all renovation we wanted to do right as we moved in, they will have to wait a few months.1 -

We had our valuation yesterday and can see that it came in exactly at what we offered so now just waiting
I called them and they confirmed on the phone. The rep actually said congratulations first and then told me. He sent out a confirmation email and also posted the full pack.
The valuation came in exactly the same as the offer I made to buy the house.
Solicitors doing their stuff now. Have said it may be three or four weeks till searches are back!
Cheers

@TheLastMinute very similar time scales to mine!
I was surprised how efficient they were.
Highly recommended.0 -
update from my side. Valuation booked for this thursday!
worth you checking the current rates for your LTV too, as I noticed new rates come available over the weekend. I'm not 100% you can change over to them after application, but seems that way from reading online (MB hasn't got back to me yet)

Funnily enough, I had an email from Halifax today saying my valuation was booked for Thurs as well!
I had a look at the intermediaries site, but the news article saying there are changes doesn't actually say what they are. Looking in detail, it seems the 90%-95% products are the same as before, unless someone knows different?
23/4 - AIP
24/4 - Call with Halifax MA to go through application. Mortgage illustration emailed.
26/4 - 2nd call with MA to proceed with application.
10/5 - Confirmed valuation booked for Thurs 13/50 -

Try this PDF... I was looking at the 80-85% so can't comment on your level. Could be a change though

I submitted my Halifax application on 11 May and uploaded documents that day.
The 'income and commitments' box in the tracker has just turned green this morning and I got a message they are arranging the valuation. Does this mean I've cleared the financials bit? Was a bit concerned as I have a few other loans and I am going for an interest only mortgage (50% LTV).0 -
actually, I can answer my own question here as they asked me to call them. I have passed the financials bit, but as it's Interest only it has to go to another team for clearance and only then will they request the valuation.0

An update from me. As mentioned upthread, we had our valuation booked for today and I've been keeping an eye application tracker all day (I may have worn out my F5 key!). It's just come up stating the house was valued at what we had put in and a mortgage offer has been made! Pretty impressive turnaround of 12 business days, including payslip queries.
Good luck @tommyt-saver and everyone else with your application.
23/4 - AIP
24/4 - Call with Halifax MA to go through application. Mortgage illustration emailed.
26/4 - 2nd call with MA to proceed with application.
10/5 - After two or three queries were raised over names missing/being different on payslips, confirmed valuation booked for Thurs 13/5
13/5 - Valuation comes back matching offer price. Track says mortgage offer issued!1 -
