    Afternoon all,

Completion for the house is today at some time. Not sure when, but at least it's happening. I'm manic in work as the woman I work with is on holiday so I'm doing her job aswell as mine, trying to do stock take and answer the door.

I've joined the sealed pot challenge again this year and hopefully I will stick to it this time! Not much else going on.

    Afternoon all!

    Great update here.

I've finally got the money from my grandads house! :relieved: 3K in total, I plan to fix my car with some of the money and save the rest as I feel if I pay most of my debts with it, its going to feel like a waste. As much as I want to pay my debts I'll be using the sainsburys job for this!

Great that the money from the house is finally with you.  As you are not paying interest it makes sense not to rush into paying off the debt but I strongly suggest once your car is sorted you maybe make a  plan, agree on how much you will pay off the debt monthly so you have an end date in place.  Having it hanging over your head is demotivating as I guess in time you will be saving for a deposit so the debt will need to be gone by then. Allocating the sainsburys job money to it is a good idea.

Why not buy something that everytime you look at it will remind you of him & you can say "cheers Grandad".  Then pay off a debt with a high interest rate & repeat "cheers grandad" & then save the rest as an EF?

That is a great update! Do you roughly know how much the car is going to cost to fix or is it something you still need to go and get a price for?

I would pay off the Barclaycard (due to the interest), get your car fixed, get your tattoo and then save the rest :)

I got some money when my Dad passed and I got a small tattoo done. My sister bought a Pandora bracelet and added a couple of charms including a ‘Dad’ one 🥰
