Everthing they seem to do is Failing, Failing, Failing thier customers and Denial, Denial, Denial of any wrong doing. I honestly have found no terms of use under banking sector that shows you can use the personal information owned by that bank can be said for the purposes Norton allege and mandate that it is requires.Max2010 said:I have asked publically for anyone to provide mandate from the banking sectors in terms of thier terms and conditions that allows this specific use by NortonLifeLock of bank property in respect to bank cards, security information and personal address . No one has provided this therefore there use must 'not be prescribed' or mandated by the banks.Max2010 said:If I can purchase their software easily in store why do I need to provide my personal information and bank owned data including security data to be provided to them which seems to be in no doubt from my bank in forming me in a telephone converstation that I should not be providing Norton at all as the purchase of thier goods has already been made.
If you mean why do you need to provide email addresses, phone numbers, perhaps card numbers etc. then that would be because NortonLifeLock is a monitoring service, to be able to monitor online for that data it would need to know what to look for, it can not do that if you do not tell it what to look for. If you do not want to give them that data then why have you purchased a monitoring service?Max2010 said:Why do I need to provide my personal information and bank owned data including security data to be provided to them when they appear to have no respect to data processing and are not signed up with regulatory agencies in the UK and Ireland.Max2010 said:Does this not ring alarm bells?2 -
I hope that after reading the last 2 posts (from wamoo & soolin) Max2010 finally understands that nobody who has posted on this thread has any idea whatsoever what issue/problem he is talking about.

Max2010 said:As already which you seem to have not tried if you are having difficulties the read aloud text system on this system is quite capable of reading my posts with out condemnation are you suggesting this is not the case. I therefore do not see how this is helpful as it suggests if the computers system can read it why would you not be able to!
If you want to be understood then write your posts in clear, grammatically correct English, using words and terms which you actually understand the meaning of, rather than those which you think you have an understanding of, but do not.4 -

a) A valid Norton product has issued a reminder to renew it's licence but using an odd choice of language. Max has perhaps misinterpreted this (possibly through not being a native English speaker).
b) Max has seen a fake pop-up as a result of spyware getting into his machine (but not being detected by Norton) and is responding to that literally - despite already having a licence. This could suggest Max has a valid complaint against Norton but has not made it clear to themI need to think of something new here...0 -
Hi
Is it worth going back to basics here, so:
1. You bought Norton Virus Protector from a physical shop?
2. When you went to install it, it asked for card details, which you do not want to give?
3. You have been complaining to Norton about this since then?
4. Your temporary license has now expired?
So as others have stated - what are you trying to achieve?

A few years ago I was given in store of a famous electrical retailer beginning with C, some voucher for a internet product called Norton, and I am not talking about a motorbike either! It gave me 3 years uses of their product, but I had to register on their website. At no time did it ask for my card details and allowed me use of their product for three years. One month prior to the end of the it suggested I should update my details for continued cover. I had decided that I would use my ISP product instead and ignored these message until my licence ran out, after 28 from the end of the licence.
I informed Norton, that I had no further use for their product and asked, Politely, that my account be deleted. They did so within a short time, informing me they had done so!
I still have no idea what OP wants Norton to do!3 -
Day 14 - Contact from DPC - email re-issued - Purchased licence still not usuable.

Are you suggesting what Which wrote doesnt exist , wow . Its written clearly on the page in clear print :The Consumer Rights Act 2015
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 became law on 1 October 2015, replacing three major pieces of consumer legislation - the Sale of Goods Act, Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, and the Supply of Goods and Services Act. It was introduced to simplify, strengthen and modernise the law, giving you clearer shopping rights.
Its quite clear what it states on goverment website https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/notes/division/2/5
In regard to the Dark Web I am only informing you what Norton nagging screens stated ! If this is unfounded then please take it up with Norton Life Loc as its thier advice not mine. The other information you have provided in para-phrases is not understandable and reads like a diatribe or waffle. I asked you and this group page clear numbered points which you have not answered and waffled instead. If you are trying to help then answer my numbered points as I have now reported to the DPC that clearly this public and this public forum and therefore the public does then not have access to any documents from the Banks or in the bank terms and conditions that would allow processing of bank data in a non precribed manor I presume this is something you would not sanction either without mandate from the bank ?

Why would they offer me something free I have already purchased !
