Do not be coerced by Norton Life Inc into providing you bank information on ther websites . They are not using this information in POINT-OF-SALE which is understand is a requirment of using bank objects. My Bank has told me in no way to provide this information to them . They say you can remove these bank objects but as it is being provided by a form script there is no information in regard to were it is going to be processed and if you are actually removing it . Furthermore I have a legal request with Norton which they have not provided in 11 days only informing me to return product to store after they asked me to open it to provide them with the purchased licence. They are imposible to deal with running a chat service based out of New Deli and workers based in MumBai. They say they have an escalations team but there is no evidince of this or any attempt at communication from there  Irish Based operation.  Currently they are offering a free 12 month licence , when one has been purchased . Does this make any sense as it doesnt to me ?

I can find links to Norton, Norton Life, previously Symantec. These lead to the genuine Norton website. They offer a free six month trial.

How did you end up with some other site, did you do this via the facebuck or other media?

It sounds like you don't understand how their auto renewal works. I don't use their products but Norton and a number of other security software providers have worked in this way for a number of years.

When you first register your product they ask for card details for you to set up auto renewal (some call it continual protection), if you don't want to go ahead with the auto renew it is a setting that is very easy to turn off in your account.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of these auto renew services at all and try to avoid them where possible but to claim you are being conned is going a little bit too far.

JJ_Egan thanks for your reply but I think this is the genuine company but acting in an unusual way:

    Europe Middle East Africa region:

NortonLifeLock Ireland Limited - Global Privacy Office

    Ballycoolin Business Park, Blanchardstown,

    Dublin 15, Ireland

    Email: nll_privacy@nortonlifelock.com

I have so much correspondence with them if i provided it to you and the devious methods verging on crminal behaviour to obtain bank details is unbelievable the want currently my till reciept, which is providing more personal data which they will not explain who has it . I used he chat services here https://support.norton.com/sp/en/ca/norton-identity-protection/current/contact-chat-details which looks genuine its based on a WHOIS search to be in India New Deli.

I wrote to them and am without reply :
I write regard to the lack of coordinated approach to data processing in what you have not afforded me in
relation to allegedly holding personal Information  under the acts of information rights set up by the English Parliament.
Clearly you provided me no proper response to data processing requests in ten working days providing a clear legal
method of what I can expect of your processing of data . Since making these request you have continued to make
further demands on personal data informing me if i do not provide you with a cash receipt or my bank details then my
purchased licence from WH Smith is VOID unusable and will offer me no protection which you state as a Virus Protection
Company is required to protect our devices bank transactions and other safety from the Dark Web.
It is not even apparent that you have signed up to NI Trader Support Services to allow you to legally import products to the  UK!
Under the Information acts and GDPR 2018 which are Acts of Uk Parliament.  I have served you with legal data requests which
have been ignored since 1st January 2021. Quite clearly as you are processing personal banking details for customers around
the world your organisation has a duty of care to inform customers where this DATA is being held and where it is being processed. You have not provided this or answers to my other request for information in a reasonable time frame and I have had to obtain this address and email address from an American search engine.

Hi Fosterdog  thanks for your reply . I understand their illegal use of bank objects . You are supposed to use and store them at POINT-OF-SALE I have ten years using Norton :

Which they now state it is mandated they now have this information and you can remove it afterwards . However we are all aware on a form when you post information it can go anywhere .  Further more they have insisted I either provide bank reciept or bank details they can register me free 12 months . How can it be free if we have paid for it! Why do they require a bank account if I never use the service autorenewal and dont require it . I support local traders .Why do they not seem to have a proper data processing department?

English parliament  does not apply to an American Company nor indeed to the Republic of Ireland .
What are you going to do if they do not reply ??

NortonLifeLock Inc. is an American software company headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, United States. The company provides cybersecurity software and services.

1: If the personal data you are referring to is your card details then it is already made clear that it is for auto renewal so you know the purpose, the rest of that question is gibberish and makes no sense.

2: You have no right to this information

3: You have no right to this information

4: It is clearly explained that no transaction occurs at the point of entering the details, it specifically tells you that. The details are there to be used for auto renewal at a specified later date and can be cancelled at any point before then.

You are not going to get any response from anyone.
