This thread was surprisingly useful at reducing my anxiety for my recent mortgage app. For what it's worth, here are my dates done via a mortgage broker:T - mortgage app goes in via broker (EOD)T+5 - request for more docs. Believe my broker did things within 1 working dayT+7 - left a voicemail with my mortgage broker with a question on my income. Required more docsT+8 - valuation instructed(valuation booked for T+11 and done in person)T+12 valuation receivedT+13 offer receivedAll the above is in working days. In reality, the process took 2.5 weeks.FTB, employed (but bonus income questioned)0

Here's mine. We are FTB's 90% ltv.
30/1 AIP
1/2 called to book in MA appointment
3/2 all documents submitted to digidocs ahead of appointment
6/2 appointment with MA, full application submitted (hard credit check done and passed)
9/2 mortgage application tracker live and documents reviewed by Underwriters. Asked for p60 and payslip from December from previous employer.
Valuation booked for 15th Feb.
10/2 documents submitted to digidocs.
11/2 items we submitted ticked on Mortgage tracker and only 1 action remains (valuation)
12/2 email stating mortgage approved subject to valuation

Ho sorry to jump on here but new to this page and can't figure our where to start a new post lol? Anyways I started my mortgage process on the 16/12 with an advisor who is good but really bad with communication I.e. I will text then and not get a reply until maybe a week or more later. Found out on the 26/01 that the it had been referred by Natwest and my advisor told me it would be two weeks for a decision. I asked him last week if there was an update and he said no its extremely slow at the moment (I understand with covid etc) but then again today I have tried to ring and messaged and haven't heard anything for him. Does this time frame sound right? Its been since the 26/01. Just looking to see if anyone else in the same boat!1

Thanks Zemarcopolo! Sorry dont know to to reply directly to your comment haha! But I had a feeling it wasn't the bank being slow 😒 it feels like I have gotten no further forward with my advisor from when I first started the process on the 16/12! I will ask for the application number but will I have one if it is just a referral?1

Jmm29 said:I will ask for the application number but will I have one if it is just a referral?Sounds like they're pulling your leg a bit here. Yes - any live application will have an application number.Suggest you ring (rather than text?) your broker as it's harder to ignore. On my post above, this was started in late January.0
