    Hi All,

Thought I'd add my NatWest application timeline to the post:

    2nd March - AIP
    4th March - Offer accepted
7th March - Full application submitted & hard credit search done
11th March - Payslips etc reviewed
    14th March - Valuation instructed
18th March - Email to say approved subject to valuation
    21st March - Valuation complete
    22nd March - Offer issued!!

I had an issue where NatWest had given the surveyor the wrong purchase price, so delayed things by a couple of days. All in all though, I've been pleased with how quickly my case has progressed.

Hope everyone gets their decision soon.x

This is the update on the natwest tracker

We are pleased to advise that the valuation has confirmed the property is suitable security for the mortgage advance. You and your client will receive a written 'offer of loan' within five working days, and the acting solicitor on the case will be instructed to proceed.25/03/2022 10:55

    When did you apply ?

I applied through a broker on Thursday, Friday I got the notification through about the hard search on my credit file. Hoping it doesn’t take too long as I’m not far off exchange.

I’m hoping it’s speedy I’m a relatively straightforward case, 18 per cent deposit. New build. My broker has all my paperwork so I hope if there are any questions they answer them quickly. I’ve an offer from Nationwide but decided to switch to Nat west for a few reasons.
  • Do NatWest perform initial checks of application and hard credit check before you receive you mortgage tracking number? We haven’t heard anything yet but is still early days

    23/03 - MIP
    23/03 - Full application

One more question, when a property is surveyed by NatWest do they let you know the value? Would be interesting to know

I think when the application goes in it takes a few days for the tracker to pick up any details, from memory the tracker only started working after they had done the initial check and credit check.

I haven’t received a copy of the survey report yet (having said that I’m still waiting for a bl**dy offer!) but I asked the broker and they could access the summary report to confirm the value and was it satisfactory etc. I know some lenders will attach a copy of the report to the mortgage offer.

Also all of their quoted lead times for assessment etc are in working days typically with day 1 being the day after they receive documents, having said that some stages move quicker than others. Hope this helps and good luck!

Okay thanks for the info, I was hoping you would be able to see the survey report (especially as you pay for it!)
  • New to this but thought I would add my story so far:
    - FTB
    - Mortgage application sent via broker 22/04
    - Hard check on Equifax on 22/04

    Nothing since then!

My MB sent me the mortgage reference number but it still doesn't appear to be working.
Has anyone else had to wait this long to access their tracker?
