The cupcake shopping basket is sooo cute on the pink princess website!
There is a gorge shop in Leyburn, North Yorks called Serendipity, they sell cupcake items and loads of lovely trinkets, candles, cookware, art, furniture etc. Its worth a look if you are in the area- OH bought me a cupcake bowl from there which I totally love.0 -
having bought the cake range tray and coasters and aiming to get the mug from Homebase I thought I would combine the mug and tray with a flannel cake. I have just had a go following the instructions on page 1 and it's not turned out bad thanks to the very easy to follow pictures. I am quite impressed and will be perfecting them and looking for bits to put on top by Christmas:D I used a bath pearl I had already and it looked OK. Just need to find some cases now as the plastic mug i used spoils the finished look:rotfl:saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Hi bunbun2, what did you use to secure the bath pearl on top? I've bought pearls and artificial cherries and it wasn't until I came to put them on I thought about how to 'stick' them to the flannel. I've used 3D foam sticky pads but not sure this is the best thing to use???
Make sure you post a pic of your finished pressie! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Thanks to everyone for the mug searching! I love the cupcake mug on pink princess site (someone selling couple of these on ebay bit cheaper) but will probably get the ones from Homebase as they are cheaper and from the pics posted (thanks all!) look lovely.
Really enjoying making up my presents from bits and bobs rather than going into a shop and buying one thing. Our house is filling up with baskets, jars, cupcake cases, flannels and all manner of other stuff! I'm loving it! It's my mum's birthday next month - will post a pic when I've finished her present. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I haven't used anything to secure the bath pearl yet, it is just balanced on the top:rotfl: I was going to ask for advice on here:D
I was pleased when I asked DS2 (7) what it looked like and he said a cake! I am planning to make them for Christmas so have a while to finish them:D Like you I enjoy buying things bit by bit and building up the present.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

For attaching the cherries I use the double side tape/foam stuff, the type card makers use in their 3D decoupage creations.0
