I am still on the hunt for a fruit sunday
cup those tall ones they do knickerbocker
glories in.Last Summer they were making them
in clear melamine plastic in the picnic stuff in
Asda & Tesco but this year there dont seem to
be any.Although now I think I would settle for a
glass one instead. So if anyone spots any could you
let me know I wanted to try doing a fancy ice cream
with a flannel,scrunchie & bath pearls etc.
they have a cocktail set in poundland that
has fancy straws,paper umberellas,swizzel
sticks etc.Thought I could use something
from that to help decorate it:j:j:j0 -
I have decided to give my settee a bit
of a face lift so all the cushions on it
that look a bit wintery I have replaced
the covers with lighter coloured covers
a mix of floral, dots & gingham so far.
Its not looking too bad I will take a
pic when I get it finished.
All the covers I have taken off I will put away
for the time being I plan to put them back on
in the Autumn.:j:j:j0 -

see what passes as a cake
at the garden centre.
in case anyone was wondering it
tasted lovely and in my defence
I shared it with my other half:j:j:j0 -
I'm sorry to jump in on your thread, but I have been so impressed with all your lovely towel creations. I had thought of something else you could use to decorate your cakes. I started making wax melts a while ago, (I have stopped now and have gone back to card making!). Anyway they are little candles without a wick that smell lovely that you put in an oil burner without water. Anyway there are loads of different types you can buy (especially on ebay), for example ones that look like biscuits. I thought these would be fab when used with your mugs, as they give off a lovely smell. There are also loads of fruit shaped ones you can get (sometimes called wax embeds as they are smaller), which I thought would look great on the cakes. I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before but I had a look through and couldn't find anything. They are generally made from soy wax which is much better for the environment, and afterwards the recipient could use them in an oil burner or pop them in a drawer for their scent. Have a look there are some fantastic ones for sale!0
