mum of two I have sent pm

nearest Hobbycraft to me is Warrington
thats miles away,I did email them one
time and asked if they had plans to
open one nearer me and was told there
was not enough demand in Liverpool
which I find hard to believe.

I did find this bunny made from a face cloth
dont laugh too much because I have used
    a 20p face cloth,2 pins and a fluffy bobble
thats really too big but was all I had in
along with a left over bit of ribbon I found
but with better eyes nose & bow it could look
    quite fetching

The moment was lost however when my husband caught sight of the printed off photographs from here and fell about laughing! I think it had something to do with me showing him a listing for hand knitted potatoes on ebay last night.

I'll get my revenge on him, once someone on here suggests a male gift which can be made with flannels!

cheeky thing, he is going to be very surprised
when he sees how well recieved these are.
everyone who got one this Christmas thought
they were lovely and such a novel idea.
Some had not even realised they were not
real cakes.I will keep my eyes peeled for any
male type ones for you and post them on here.

It is good in Hobbycraft the choice is amazing
they carry such a huge choice of just about
everything. The down side is it can be expensive
sometimes but they do have good reductions
in their sales so if your ever planning to travel to
one its worth waiting until sale time.
Another place that is definatly worth a visit is
the RANGE Stores there are not a lot of
them but they do carry a good selection of
craft & fabrics as well as heaps of
    other stuff

its always worth checking online or localy
if anyone knows of any good shops that sell
craft stuff or things relevant to this let us all
know especially if they are in holiday locations
because in the warmer holiday months if you
are going somewhere for a day out, weekend
away or holiday it may give you the oppertunity
to visit and stock up.the Range store above
is very good on prices lots of reasonably
priced stuff and the reductions are good.

  • I have found that a lot of the bargain birthday card shops are stocking craft items, Poundland's pretty good too.

Back to the flannel muffins, just wondering about the cellaphane wrapping. I was thinking about using a dinner plate as a template, is that how you do it?

What a lovely site that is, those boxes are great, puts the price up a bit, but very professional looking

First thing I thought this morning when I woke up: cake boxes!

we can use those plastic little containers cream cakes come in at supermarkets. Or little containers that come from the salad bar at the Supermarket. Morrisons' look very nice.
Now... we just have to eat cream cakes and salads so we can use the boxes, what a hardship :rotfl: NOT!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Rosekitten: Your bunnies are the cutest. Googly eyes and you could hide a cream egg somewhere inside.. Reindeer, bunnies what next??

Once the kids are up I am going into town to buy some flannels!! and have a nosey for other decoration bits..

this bunny is made with 2 flannes and a dishtowel and some ribbon. she would sit nicely in a basket..If anyone wants I will post the link for the website where it tells you how to make it and it has a little poem to go with it.
