I found a flanel its not the best kind
to use as its very thick and the sides are not
even but it will give you an idea
the last pic is of one I did with an Asda
45p flanel its kind of not too thick and
not too thin. You can pin or sellotape the
    end piece in place

I used double sided tape. I already had that because I make cards. You can buy it in a craft shop, different widths. I also used that to fasten the ribbon at the bottom
Thanks for that, I was thinking after I asked, that I could maybe use a glue gun but would need to let it cool a little or it would maybe melt the chocolate and also only apply it to the ribbon.
Thankyou both for the great ideas!

    Rosekitten,

I found these, what do you think? Would they work rolled the same as a cupcake? You can have the little spoon sticking out..?

I am thinking of making some of these for the school fair so looked on ebay for shaped soaps to decorate the top. I found these if they are any use quite cheap if you buy a few.

those would be fine, but I am sure
that I have seen them cheaper
    somewhere,not exactly sure but
I think it may have been Asda I bet
    someone will know where.You have
got me thinking because there have
been occassions in the past when
we have had things in tubs like
that as well as the spoons.I bet a
good trawl through the party ware
stuff would bring up some good stuff
    to use.

Also definatly worth a look is the plastic
& melamine summer picnic ware that will be in stock
soon.Asda & Tesco do really nice things and
always have a good variety of plastic glasses.
Last year they did a whole range of glasses
inc those tall sunday glasses that you put
    Knickerbocker glorys in.

I saw these last night on ebay
geese we must have been looking
at the same time.Shame the pic is
    not a bit sharper.

I reckon that cone bit its a circle
about 5, 6 or 7 inches in diameter
those scissors that cut in fancy
shapes would get the edge right.
Worth trying it out with plain paper
in different diameters to get the right
    size for the flannel.

    I think that patterned
paper you would get that in
the model shops or in craft
    stores.I think its around 50p
a sheet but they are a good size
so you would get a fair few from
one sheet .If you do see something
that would work, ask if they have any
damaged pieces as they let them go cheaper

    .

Great idea, because this way the recipient can use the glasses as well..

I made 3 muffins this morning for my sister in Holland: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, so cute!! I didn't have pins with pretty heads so I found some round pink shiny beads in my craft box, stuck a bit of wire through it, bended it and stuck it into the cupcake that way, worked great.

I was thinking you could put 3 cupcakes in a basket, put some loveheart little soaps around it. My question is: Can you melt an ordinary bar of soap and re-pour into heart shaped moulds?

This is so cool Rosekitten, we will be professionals soon!! Valentines day, mothersday here we come!

Wow I am loving this thread... I saw scissors with different edges on today in hobbycraft I think there were 5 in a pack.
    Hope that helps

The strawberry muffins are you just using pink flannels???

    Thanks
    Ginga
