mum of two those are really good
on Saturday I am going to a florist
wholesalers so it might be an idea to
hold off buying fruit, just in case they
might have a good deal on them.I dont
mind getting stuff for anyone if we
can all make a saving.Gee this place
opens at 3 am ! So its going to be
an early start.:j:j:j0 -
I have had a preliminary attempt at a 'gardener's bouquet'. Maybe Rosekitten will help me to put a photo on here for your comments. So far I have bought three pairs of socks, gardening gloves, gardening twine and microfibre cloths. I have just rolled them tightly and secured them with sellotape for the time being. I am particularly pleased with the gloves (£3.99 from Wilkinson) which are pink and cream and make great roses! I might get another couple of pairs of those. I have seen more gardening twine in different colours on Ebay - I am just trying to work out which size to buy. I still need some rose leaves, also sourced from Ebay, as well. Although I originally planned to do a bouquet, I think it might be easier to get a planter to sort of wedge all the roses into. It would save taping them onto wire or sticks as well. At the moment I have got them wrapped in a stripy teatowel that I spotted in Morrisons!
By the way, I bought three flannels for 99p in Wilkinson and they are nice fluffy Egyptian cotton, although they do have patterned borders, if that is any use to anyone!0 -

I will pm you my email address
have you thought about using
oasis sponge block to put your stems into
a decent sized block is only 99p
you can easily cut it to size with a knife
just an idea but I had a go at this
below is how I got on.I used florist
wire and a wooden skewer(34p a
pack in Tesco)blunt at on end and
pointy at the opther end.they are 12
inches long.Easy to cut to length
once made up.
Then they will stick into anything
might be worth having a look in
the £ shops among the silk flowers
they sell I am thinking especially of
Poundland who always have a big
display of flowers.Would the leaves
on the Roses they sell be any good ?

Such lovely ideas and I haven't even started my first attempt yet................lol
I did buy some little flowers on wires this week from charity shop -60p for 10. They're like a spray of white flowers. Found a pack of three bath bombs (wrapped in) white I'd had bought me at Christmas -Im inundated with bath stuff - and thought with my little cream flannels, as they're not fluffy enough for a cake I might be able to create a christmas cracker with them. If I roll the flannel round the bath bombs then twist one of these floral sprays at each end, put some cream ribbon round the middle and stick a cream bow on they might be ok. Might have a go later today.
Not sure how to fasten the ribbon though. It's some I picked up with the bows -again a charity shop find - and the ribbon won't take double sided sticky tape - it's a bit see-through, if you know what I mean. So how can I stick it together around the 'cracker' and stick the bow on ?Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Here's a cake I made today.
My two girls have a teachers birthday next weekend. They both share one teacher who loves butterflies. So they'll give her this between the two of them. What do you think?0 -
I think it looks absolutely terrific!
I wonder if I could make something like this for my friend's wedding in November. She wants the wedding gift money to go to charity but I'd like to give her something else as well, what do you think?
