Ive been thinking yet again....:j and....
Someone posted a pic of an icecream cone in a acetate box and was wondering if it would be possible to make it... well I think so.. using a triple layer of brown paper(for thickness) mark on this some cone detail using a brown crayon or pen then roll into a cone shape (template on internet search) will try to find and post later.
Pop a brown (or any colour) flannel into this (rounded rather than rolled) into the top and then cover in cello and tie with ribbon string.
For a variation on this make a cone cup (like an icecream cone but with a flat bottom) this will stand up to be displayed. (the cone will need to be layed down, unless you make a box for it to sit in.
Use mint green flannel and decorate with brown beads/embellishments for mint choc chip.
Pink for yummy strawberry
Red for Rasberry
Red and white rolled but pushed u in the middle for rasberry ripple.
Cream for vanilla... etc
Also to add a little twist to this, take a flake and cut in half, wrap this tightly in cello(to keep it edible) then add to the cone on an angle for a lovely 99 effect.
I will borrow sisters camera so I can post all the pics of what I have made, just keep forgetting to ask.
Gosh - Genius! Flakes would also work wrapped and popped into these strawberry muffin tubs. The white flannel could be ice-cream! We need those little plastic spade-type spoons.
I've been trying to think of a way to make the gift more useful and what better than the gift of Chocolate with a flannel to wipe your mush with afterwards! :rotfl:

for the top of it ?
Hi Rosekitten
Thanks. I got the strawberries from
www.justartificial.co.uk
They worked out at about 73p each after including postage and packing.
They are sooo realistic it's unreal. :rotfl:
You get 9 in a packet and they're all different sizes.
They do cherries too.
It works out quite expensive. My whole 'cake' - flannel, cupcase, cello wrap and strawberry worked out at about £1.60.

rosekitten, those cakes looks so easy, its almost scary! Do you think they put the clear cellophane on so the strawberries won't fall off?
Becca: Your cakes look lovely, have you been "playing" all day?
MFM: the strawberries look so nice, might have to order them if I can't find any cheaper ones..0 -
