Take a strip of card and give it a wavy edge with scissors or maybe use a craft punch to add some detail.
Cut fringe tabs along the other long edge then form the cup with the card, use double sided tape to hold it together.
Cut a circular base and then glue the fringe tabs to the base.
Hi Rosekitten

I also found some small plastic spoons which would look really nice as part of a mousse flannel gift. They were in Sainsburys 20 for 99p and had a baskin robins/ice cream parlour look to them.
I was also thinking by using a pink, brown, and cream/lemon flannel a Neopolitan Icecream effect could be created and would look cute in one of the cardboard square cases with a little spoon sitting on top or tied to the side of the case and then popped into a cello bag.0 -
Someone else on here posted a link to this craft site and I found these soaps on it. I thought maybe I could do a "cake box" type of thing with flannel and soap cakes...

wow they look amazing
she says on the thread
It's just regular melt and pour glycerin soap. There scent strawberry and creams, mint vanilla, buttercream, and chocolate
I think she has poured wax into a cake case
and then piped soap from a piping bag.
has anyone here ever used this type of
melt and pour soap:j:j:j0 -
do you know what would be a nice idea
if the seller on ebay did a set of 25 pots
but had say five different varieties in
one lot.:j:j:j0 -

Yes that would be a good idea, and since their sale has gone up lots because of all of us buying, maybe we could suggest it...
Those soaps are so cute, wish I knew how to make them!!
Thanks for the spoons suggestion, will have to make a trip to Sainsbury's then, At what section were they, beside paper plates etc. or somewhere else?
Neopolitan sounds yummy0 -
I read this thread on Thursday and bought a black a bright pink and a white flannel today to have a go... Can i just ask, how do you stop the cakes from unravelling?*~*Eleventh Heaven*~*

The little spoons were with the paper plates, plastic cups etc.
I dont think the seller would be able to offer a "mix up" selection as they same to be in contact with a supplier in Malaysia who sells one style in each lot.
But I suppose due to all the increased sales the seller could order some different cases and make up a selection themselves, then sell these on.0 -
LOL sorry, it's taken me 6 hours to get to post here! We had some awful news last night about one of our online friends so have been sorting out donations all evening :A
Right, firstly thanks for the nice comments about my flannel
Secondly, to explain the smooth top - LOL I'm surprised it worked actually, I wanted a more muffin style top to it, so laid it out square and folded the corners into the middle.
It's still a square at this stage, so I took the corners into the middle again, this time though the new corners are a bit more rounded and slightly 'open'. Then fold the corners in again and they slightly dimple in, so as I gathered them in I was pinching the middle in together.
Then I turned it over and shaped it into a more rounded muffin type shape, then pushed it into the muffin case. It didn't matter that the case was a bit squashed as the flannel puffed it out. I couldn't believe I managed to get it so muffin like in one go!
Anyway I managed to get out to a florist type place today and picked up some really cheap ribbon and fruity bitsHonorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts.
