Chap in the shop suggested something (can't remember what now) that people buy and sprinkle on the carpet where cats are likely to do a quick 'wee' now its cold and he said it absorbed the smell so might try that - unless I just get a few mixed herbs.
Had to pull the tv out this afternoon and my furry little darling has sneaked behind there . Didn't think she would do it after last Xmas when she blew up the extension cable and nearly started a fire :rotfl:.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Mary - I wouldn't worry about getting a glue gun just yet I used PVA on my reindeer and everything has stuck fine. I just held it on there for a bit. I think the problem some people may be having is that because flannels are made up of little strands the PVA is only sticking to them and not the fabric underneath (IYSWIM)
I'm hoping to go to a bigger Wilkos at the weekend (my OH need to go buy my birthday pressies so I can shop alone without him dragging his feet and moaning behind me!!) to pick up some more flannels fingers crossed they have plenty of chocolate brown ones. Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
paddington - not a clue what that stuffs called and had a 'senior moment' this morning and walked straight past the shop !! Could do with some of that myself as our elderly cat doesn't seem to like the cold !
I'll pop down another day and find out for you (and me!)
Siren - didn't get a glue gun as didn't go as far as our woolworths today and thought I'd try pva anyway and see if it works............mind you, I'm wondering what my reindeers will look like in the end.........they look nothing like those I've seen............lol I'm wondering if my bar of soap ought to be bigger. Also trying to work out how to put the pipe cleaners on - read the instructions but can''t get my head round them...............At the minute the ears are staying put with an elastic band - can't get any bells but I've got some gold tinsel type stuff I can wind round the antlers -once I get them on.................lol

Hi Mary!
I've given you some soap advice in the Crafty for Christmas thread but I see you need some antler help so thought I would tell you what I do. I too hold the ears together with a small elastic band. I then use a little bit of ribbon and simply tied it around the band. I then pull the band out from under the ribbon and take it over the ears so its completely out the way. You need to make sure that the ribbon is tied tightly so the ears don't flop! I then make up the antlers by cutting one pipe cleaner in half to make the two main antlers. I take another pipe cleaner and cut it into quarters and wrap two pieces part the way down each antler (IYSWIM) I then tuck the antlers between the ears past where the ribbon is so that it holds the antlers in place. Then I just stick the pompom nose and eyes on.
I really hope that makes sense and helps you out!! Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
Siren - thanks for that. I read the instructions but my poor addled brain couldn't quite get it................lol OH read them and he seemed to understand it better but your instructions are much better.
OH didn't think mine looked much like reindeer till I showed him piccy on instructions so he could see what it was all about..........lolMary

hello, im really sorry that im prob repeating a a question but 82 pages is a lot to sift through! Where does everyone get their muffin cases from for the cupcakes? Im not sure which ones i want, and did i read on here that they then made them/shrunk them so they are too small to hold the flannels? Thanks for all the ideas, im trying to be good and just sticking to cupcakes as i want to make so many different things after finding this section of the forum!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
