I love these tins! Saw them on the Lakeland site £14.99. May put them on my I would like list for Xmas!

you could use the individual flake bars although that would bump up the price a lot. I think the ones you get for ice-cream in a Flake box may be wrapped - I think they used to be but may not now, of course. But cling film would be good - but eating the others, even better :D

    any excuse for chocolate :rotfl:.

will still work out cheaper than poisoning people by cooking - am going to buy a normal sized one to experiment - maybe cut it up - can always eat the failures :D

    Afternoon!

I need to pick your brains. I bought a pack of socks in Primark today to make some cupcakes for the school sale but on the way home was thinking that as they're ice cream sort of colours thought they might look better as ice cream tubs but can't think of anything to use as a "flake" to make 99s.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance x

Might be a stupid idea but what about putting a plastic teaspoon in instead, to "eat" the ice cream with?

you know the pick and mix sweets
I have in the past seen Liquirice
sticks in them in various colours.
I know Asda do a bag of Australian
    Liquirice sticks for a £1 I bought a bag
recently and they were red sticks
if your socks are pink one of these
    might look really nice.

    Hi All!

Went into Hobbycraft today and picked up the last few bits I needed for my flannel reindeer. I've made up four (as I ran out of soap and flannels!) and thought I would share. They are a little different to the ones on the site in that they don't have bells and I tied the ears up with ribbon but without a bow as I didn't like it (I'm fussy!!)
They work out at a grand total of 64p each!!

Still can't decide about a wrapping or not for them (I'm selling them for a school fete) the OH says not to bother but I'm worried about them getting dirty if not. Opinions folks?

Anyway here are a couple of piccies:

They are absolutely brilliant. They may look nice with a wee bit of cello, tied with a ribbon in case anyone would like to buy them to give as gifts, but even as they are, they look fantastic.
  • a cadburys chocolate finger?

I love chocolate fingers so the likelihood of them lasting long enough to get into the icecreams is non existent - lol.

On the spoon idea I was in MacDonalds this afternoon and some of their stirrers just fell into my handbag :rotfl: much to OHs embarrassment.

Will post a pic tomorrow of them sat on their shoebox lid tray.

Another one of my stupid ideas - curly straw (cut the bottom off to shorten it?) and it could be a mini thick milk-shake? :p:confused:
