Hi Orangetoes, another new diary keeper, also in the SE, but a bit further along than you, so not quite as big. You're making amazing progress, and congratulations on the promotion.

Thanks @powerspowers yes they really enjoyed the budgeting! They are now driving me mad requesting a million different breakfasts gaah! This I will go back to the porridge only Mon-Friday saves the demands!
Almost the holidays hurrah! Will have to keep a tight eye on the budget as I will have tennis/ballet/ violin/ speech and drama payments to make at the beginning of term.
Daily money diary is the way forward to keep me on track over the holidays!2 -
Check your receipts people! I've been overcharged twice recently. The first time in Smith's they charged me £8 when they products were 2 for £6, they then gave me both for £4!
Now in Tesco a product should have been £1.25 with clubcard but they charged me £2. As I pointed it out they charged me £1 only, not bad as I bought three.
Small wins but they all help!

Well pay day is here for me and I did it, another £1000 overpayment on the mortgage. Regular payment doesn't come out until the 1st, so I will update the total then.
We are on track to get to 299,999 by the end of the year and I cannot wait not to see a 3 at the start of the mortgage!!5
