@AgathaSquirrel thank you!
It will mean a small increase in income but I need to try and negotiate and see if I can make it slightly more, especially since our pay was frozen at my school this year. Teachers salaries are nothing like some professions but I am really excited to have a leadership role.
Half term still and a rainy day. I would usually spend a fortune entertaining the kids so covid is saving me money! We are aiming to do a 5k ride/ walk each day and we will probably do some baking.
It's only 8am and they have already had breakfast, played doctors, organised a disco and they are now trying to make a bug hotel.. wish me luck!

Good luck with the negotiations- I didn’t realise that was something you could do in teaching. I thought wages were set.
Half-term here too. One pre-teen has risen, the other is still asleep. We’re meeting my dad for a walk this morning so I’m enjoying a coffee in peace and quiet, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels in the garden before I need to wake pre-teen 2 and chaos commences.2017 - mortgage of £140,000 and interest rate of £10 a day

That sounds like a great start to the day @AgathaSquirrel! Enjoy!
The wages are set but I think I have a case for moving to the senior leadership pay scale rather than staying on the main teachers scale, we will see!
Enjoy your walk.3 -
So ten more days of February. Have around £700 in the account. Going to budget £300 for the last ten days. Then I can put £200 into saving and put an extra £200 onto the overpayment making it £1000 overpayment....
Hoping I can stick to that and that they aren't any expenses I have forgotten!!
Have a good day everyone!3 -
I'm hoping to do the same @Orangetoes I'm expecting a surplus of £200 based on what I think I need to spend between now and the end of the month so the mortgage fund will be happy!2

@caeler woop woop! Great stuff. Happy mortgage fund, happy you!3

So good and bad. The bad my card details had expired for my T*sco delivery so I went to update them for my 6 month plan. However the only way to do it was to pay for the next 6 months. Usually I use clubcard vouchers but this was not allowed (I phoned and checked!). So annoying as there is not much to spend club card vouchers on at the moment.
The good I negotiated a very very small pay rise when I start my new role in September!2 -
