Grateful to the Queen for some time to pause and reflect. Also gave us an opportunity to visit dh's mum which is over due.
Not much to report financially but painter booked for end of month to do hallway, bathroom and one bedroom. Also finally bought a coat rack for hallway...has only taken 7 years!!1 -
Ooh a little bonus £2000 overpayment from the OH. Doing nothing in savings and trying to pay off as much as we can before our rate ends in May next year.
New total..

Work stress is currently high and my eating has reflected that. I must focus and lose weight!
Started the day well and I'm off to park run.
Need to remember to be proud of small things as other wise I just think what is the point and stuff myself.2 -

Just looking at my new year goals.Sitting room is getting there. Blinds done, new cushions bought and a mirror. Also had the bathroom downstairs painted and the hallway and one dds room, just deciding on blinds for her room. No new furniture bought, just rearranged and look much more grown up.Hallway furniture has not been bought yet but should be able to do that by end of the year.Ma applied for, accepted and started.Weight loss...not at all...but I've had a good week so far, so I'm staying positive.Money wise, ahead of schedule!Current total - £260,549.99 (yes I made a small overpayment to make the number more pleasing!!)
Total at start of year -£289,999.99Total reduction this year - £29,4501 -
Amazing OPs and loving the 1p under
I guess coming out of a fix next year is completely focusing you on getting that mortgage down.
Whats your MA in?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
