And just like that it is holiday time! Some good news too, small promotion and a £4,000 pay rise. Non pensionable but it all helps!

    Mortgage news...we are under £275k!!

    Current total £273,307.99
Starting balance this year - £289,999
    Total reduction: £16,691.01

Managing £500 overpay a month, and interest per month is finally under £400, so we are now paying off the interest and a bit more each month. Hurrah.

Thanks @savingholmes I appreciate the support.
Trying to keep the summer holiday costs down by making packed lunches everyday, so off to do that now and put the first load of washing on. Such beautiful weather!

So back from a lovely holiday in Cornwall. Cooked a lot so not too spendy either.
Arrived home for a smear test invite (ugh!) and a happier letter telling me I had paid too much tax. Hurrah! Now to decide what to do with the few hundred pounds... May split overpayment with a treat..
