Hi Folks,
Make do: I made a batch of Washing Gloop yesterday.
Mend: DH fixed a star light, rescued from a skip. (See below). Ordered new bulbs and dimmer switch........new stylish light 😍
Minimise: Went for a walk with a friend. I walked her back to her car, as she had seen an interesting skip.........We usually do a round of the Charity shops on the high street, so we have missed a good rummage! We ended up minimising lots of treasures out of the skip! Garden chairs, benches, vases, ornaments etc. some with the tags still on. I wonder if it was someone styling a house for sale, then dumping all the stuff. If you see a Facebook post of two little old ladies excitedly raiding a skip, it was us 🤣……We did go back this morning, as we felt we should rescue more for the charity shop, but it had gone......don't know where we would store it anyway 🙄.
Have a MMMarvelous weekend 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)

Not a bad few days managing to get some things done
Minimise - DH on the roof removing the moss on the side of the house that faces east as it doesn't get too much sun. (we do live in a bungalow but is a large roof) just need to borrow a roof ladder to be able to do the rest now. Got a wheel barrow fullMyself in the meantime going through a cupboard finding items to put onto £bay, also emptied a box in the process.
Make do - food from within the house store cupboards for tea (as it should be!) also old baking item that is OOD used up.
Mend - not much happening here at the moment (shamefully) am wanting a newer sewing machine too
Have a good week all

Unintentionally I have managed to "minimise" 3 single socks as they all developed huge holes that could not be repaired so they were disposed of. I can't complain as they are all probably well over 10 years old.
Today my Dad mended the beanstick store at the allotment to keep the bean sticks secure when not in use. Somehow the wind seemed to have blown it lose. He also secured some shelving in the greenhouse which was starting to come loose.
I also made do as I realised I could do with some more masks so I used some odd bits of fabric in my stash. I also used some leftover fabric to make a summer top. I should be concentrating on winter clothes really.Lisa

I need to join in with this. I am slowly but surely going through our entire house and minimising bit by bit - it is a process for me to let go of things.Make do - we have been eating from the cupboards and freezer for nearly a week with just fresh things to top up.Mend - sewed a button back on my coat and repaired the cuff on a long sleeved t shirt.Minimise -10 games - FreecycledMini food processor - FreecycledCoffee machine - Freecycled3 large picture frames - FreecycledFireside Companion set - FreecycledDonation bag - vintage carpet beater, boys pj's, boys t shirt, small water bottle, tea for one set, tealight holder, small handmade bowl, small decorative bowl, toddler meal plan book, polo t shirt.Sold - Tarot cards, perfume, hair oil, 2 x jeans, trousers, workout dvd's, computer parts, dress, coatigan.Recycled/binned/used - pillar candle, large candle in glass jar, small candle in glass jar, small cup from a flask, old plastic lunchbox, 2 unuseable travel mugs, large bag of bubble wrap, large cardboard tube, cardboard boxes, dozens of bits of unidentifiable plastic and metal. On Sunday I went through the two small drawers we have in our butchers trolley, it was getting impossible to open them, they are the catch all drawers that we all have. There were more screws in there than B&Q, patches for air beds (why aren't they with the beds), keyrings, broken pencils, the list goes on, why do we keep it?Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Mend - Sent my favourite boots to the cobblers to get some more space for my instep as I am fed up of suffering (got more fat on feet too from lockdown weight gain). Also another pair of boots to get heeled.
Make do - purchased a pair of designer glasses that were probably ex display for £6, they are suitable to have my new bifocals lenses fitted and the shop will use them. Happy days.
Minimise - doing ok with my sales on !bay and have another weekend of £1 charge for sales, got to get busy getting more items out. I think I will put this towards treating us to another multi fuel burner. DH can then replace his fire with the one from the house which has better control. Not forgetting to save for my new sewing machine too.
Stay safe

Good Morning,
Recent MMMing
Make do: Remodelled the dogs PJ's so they fit better, and altered some face masks, so they fit better too......... Sewing central is closed for the weekend, as DS2 is back for a flying visit 🙂 and he needs his room 🙄
Mend: Doggy chewed the toe of DH brand new boots 😱 We eventually found a shoe repairers who could fix it.......Thank you Lord Timpson, your lady cobbler was wonderful, and was so sorry for DH, she refused to charge him ❤️
Minimise: The daily challenge of sorting drawers, cupboards, and shelves continues through March. Another bag taken to the clothing bank. DMiL clothing EBay sales have reached 3 figures. Also, we have sold the old tumble drier on the Bay.........The chap who collected it, was at pains to point out how easy it was to repair, but as he has the skills, and we don't, it was a win, win situation. 🥳.....more space in the utility room !
