    Hi all,
Really good tips for handling tonight and the weekend food-wise, thank you all for the advice xx Not sure what else is being served (there are 6 of us tonight) but will message everyone now and see if I can bring a large salad ;)
Forgot to say well done to denise on your loss - that gives you more leeway for your holidays, yippee!
klew the Italian meal sounds lovely. Good choices :)
DH has just left and I'm strangely excited to have the house (almost) to myself - DD is working upstairs and DS2 will be back from school around 4.30pm. DH barely leaves the house week on week, so this is major. We share the kitchen table WFH - it is sometimes quite trying! I love him dearly but 24/7 with each other is a bit much!

    Well done on the losses.
I was going to buy a countdown this morning in group but was told to wait until next week when a free book offer will be on. I managed to mess my 1st week back got there at 10 instead of 10.30.....got my times mixed up 😏. Luckily she let me in whilst I waited. There were only 8 of us in my 10.30 group but a full house in the 9.30 one. It all felt a bit strange....no drinks or raffle but it was good to be with people again- even if they were behind masks. Feeling motivated 👍
    breakfast - yoghurt and fruit
dinner - beef barmcake with onion an beetroot 1 syn of spread
tea - sweet and sour pork with rice. Approx 2 syns ( dh wings his own recipe and there’s a spoonful of brown sugar and cornflour could well be less than 2)
snacks - kitkat 5 syns, fruit, crackers 3 cheese hea
I’d lost 3lb on their scales put 1 on with mine.....I’m presuming the 3 is from when I was last there......but I’ve been logging my weight each week. Should get a better reading next week.

Those burgers look brilliant - bet you need a knife and fork to eat that!  The steaks look good too.  Are you having those for dinner tomorrow or are you going to freeze them?

Sounds like you're weight is going in the right direction klew. 😊 You'll know where you are now that you can weigh at group.

What a ridiculous comment from the consultant about the books denise . There is only a fraction of the syn values in the back of the books and hardly any of the branded or restaurant items. And things have changed so much in the recent past. My main reason for going is to keep access to the syn values and the estimator.

Do you think your weight gain coincides with finishing work bubbs? I'd love to get to the bottom of it and I'm sure you would. 🤔

We had a lovely meal out today. It was great to see our friends, we even had hugs. 😁 Might have been relatively low syn as I had bruschetta (3 small pieces of bread from a baguette), followed by lamb shank with veg and mash. 😋 I'll do my meal plan for the week later and then shop tomorrow. It's a horrible day here, wet and windy. Thank goodness we could eat indoors. 🌨️☹️

I have just had this email 😂
    Dear Member,

I hope you and your families are safe and well.

I think you would agree that the last 14 months have been, and continue to be something of a

rollercoaster, with twists and turns a-plenty along the way, but I have some exciting news to share.

As we begin to take steps back to normality, we are now welcoming new Consultants to join our teams. As a valued Slimming World Member, I am getting in touch to let you know of a fabulous opportunity which has arisen in your local area.

You may not be aware that all our Consultants have the experience of being a Slimming World Member. At Slimming World, we believe our members are the only people who truly have lived and loved everything about Slimming World’s eating plan. Being at target you will know how amazing Food Optimising is, you will have felt how powerful IMAGE Therapy is in giving support to each of our members.

Personal qualities are so important, and we look for warmth, energy and enthusiasm, good listening skills and most importantly, a caring non-judgemental nature. A genuine desire to help people lose weight – giving people the confidence and belief to achieve their weight loss dreams is our ultimate mission and you do not get a better sense of purpose than that!

The great news is the role of a Consultant is flexible; it can fit in with a busy family life & even alongside another job! Full training is given from our Slimming World Academy.

I would love to invite you along to one of our next Opportunity Events where you can find out more about a rewarding career where the sky really is the limit.

The event will take place virtually via zoom in the comfort on your own home with 2 dates/times to choose from.

    Friday 21st May (tomorrow) 6:30-09:30pm or Sunday 21st May 2021 10am – 1pm or Friday 18th June 10am-1pm

It will be a very informal event where I will talk through the role of the Consultant and what is involved along with the earnings potential and the time commitment. The presentation will give you enough information to be able to go away and decide if the role is something that you would like to consider now or for the future. There will be the chance to meet other Consultants from across the area and ask questions.

So, if you would like to come along and find out more, please reply to this email to reserve your space and I will provide you with the link to allow you to join us on your chosen evening.

I really look forward to meeting you.

    With best regards,

Quite honestly that was one of the reasons I used to answer questions on Facebook because I always thought it was a ridiculous thing to say too.

That's the main reason I'm continuing with SW maman.  Suppose I'm quite lucky in that I can still just text my weight in and not actually have to go to group.  No idea how long that will carry on though!  Quite honestly I'd rather not go to a group at the moment and sit in a room with up to 30 other people - I certainly didn't feel particularly safe in venue last summer, although to be fair this time round I suspect most if not all will have had at least one jab, so probably not quite as bad.  You had one of my favourite meals!  Absolutely love lamb shank and quite often choose that if it's on the menu.
