Oh my goodness, found you all again. Not been on since 2018 then lost all my info so couldn't log in. Anyway back on a 'new' to me thread. Since I last wrote I have managed to use up a lot of fabric on some quilts and made some other craft bits. Managed not to buy anything except for glue/cotton so pleased about that.4

Another 10 to report- 2 little sewing jobs finished off (took me 15 mins to do both, why did I leave them so long?!). Neither now fit my little one, but one was a repair on a pair of leggings so they can go to nursery, and the other was a first attempt at a pair of pants. Some improvements to be made, but they are a pair of pants 😂
Also made another 8 cards- everyone gets Christmas cards this year!!!
I've also started on a couple of t shirts I had cut out- again, now too small for my little one, but I will gift them for Christmas to my cousins kids instead.

Wraithlady, that sounds like quite a prjoect! Way back in the late 60s/ early 70s, when I was still young and had a decent figure, among other things I crocheted a bright pink dress to wear to a wedding. I loved it, but, thinking about it now, the bra top was rather like that pointy job that Madonna wore many moons later. Another cracker was a white crochet trouser suit - hipster bottoms and a crop top, ALL in a holey pattern!!! I did wear that a lot!
Anyhoo, I have done a few bits and bobs since last I was on here - and none of them are the wee dog coat, ha ha.- 31 Christmas masks (takes me to over 400 masks now)
- I have finished 1 sock – I may have to chop off a foot if I don’t get the other finished. The daft thing is that they don’t take long to knit! I think the key is to pick up the wool and the needles.
- I’ve also made another 5 cards – birthday, get well and the rest are just general purpose.
- My 3 year old granddaughter has commissioned me to make a Christmas stocking 'with a heart on it'. I have some red crushed velvet left over from making other granddaughter's queen of hearts costume a couple of years ago. I don't think I have any white fur, but I do have some fun white fabric from a cat in the hat costume I made for me almost 20 years ago. I have some silver trims, but I have bought a couple of silver sequin hearts to fulfil Caoimhe's request.
- I'll also be making a couple of cushion covers as a surprise for a friend. A few years ago she gave me one of these crochet type table covers, wondering if it would be of use to me to make something. It has a rip and a stain. She was not wanting it back. I came across it when I was rummaging for something else. I confess I've bought a yard of curtain fabric and a couple of zips to do this, but I did want them to match her living room.
- Also, to use up more Christmas fabric (yes, there is more), I plan to make some gift bags. I also found some sequinned fabric and some other fancy fabrics and I may manage to make some party style face masks.
- I still have some Christmas cards to make too.
Take care and happy crafting to all of you.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Just popping in to say Hi.
All your makes sound amazing. I have been plodding on making things to donate for Christmas fund raising stalls. This used up a lot of wool.felt and beads. I have also shortened some velvet curtains and with the fabric from a chazzer tweed kilt (£1) have made a velvet edged tweed blanket, 2 velvet Christmas stockings and a Harlequin patchwork cushion. Still fabric left!
I must confess to buying some chunky wool as I found a pattern online to knit some slippers. I have been given quite a bit of wool too. My stash does not seem to be getting any less.
Ah, I also bought fabric for a paper pieced quilt for my DIL. I have made inroads but have to switch crafts as I have developed arthritis in my wrists. Already had it in my hands but the wrists are new to the party. The quilt was to be for her Birthday in January. Hmm maybe 2023 !
Lost track of numbers a long time ago.

Lovely to hear how busy everyone is with crafting! And good luck with all the house moves, it is very stressful.
I went to a craft weekend last weekend, postponed from May 2020, and it was lovely! I made 5 cards, 2 gift bags, started a Christmas journal, decorated a glass dish, made a sweetie pail for a present and decorated a 12 x 12, 9 piece chipboard puzzle (christmas themed). Since coming back ive made 2 further gift bags and am working on how to frame and display the puzzle. Unfortunately I have also bought more Christmas crafting bits (more then I used) but it has reminded me why I love crafting.

Hoping to at least finish my skirt before NYE - now the Solstice dinner is out of the way, I will be able to concentrate on something that isn't a/ desperately trying to tidy the house after 18 months of benign neglect or b/work.
I have between Xmas and New Year off, so here's hoping!

Not much crafting wise to update except I have found an outlet craft shop near the new house 😳 resisting so far!
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone, Happy New Year and I hope everyone gets their houses etc settled and sorted soon! 😊0 -
Hi everyone - so sorry for being missing in action.
2021 is a year I want to forget as quickly as possible.
I do have some good news though. I have managed to tidy up my craft room so I now have a huge list of projects I want to complete using only my stash.
Well done to everyone who managed to bust their stash this year. Shall we see if we can keep it up in 2022?Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020
