So after my failure in previous years, 2021 is most definitely the year I am going to try really hard to bust my stash!!!!
I have no choice as I have nowhere left to store craft goodies in my house. Its overflowing and annoying my poor suffering husband.
So have put myself on a self imposed craft spending ban during 2021. I cannot buy any new craft supplies except for adhesives once mine have run out, supplies for orders (for items which I already make - I have my own business on Etsy) or crafty storage (if really required and I don't have something already that can do the job).
Other than that I hope to use only things from my stash and not get tempted by the new shiny objects which keep being released.
As I have failed miserably at my previous targets I may have to set the bar a little lower but always optimistic I am am going to start my target at 2021
This will be a mixture of cards, scrapbook pages, project Life (I will class each page or handmade filler card as one item), handmade items - in fact a real mixture of things as I'm sure I have all the supplies I need to make pretty much everything I can think of!
Would anybody care to join me?
The rules are simple - there are no hard and fast rules apart from what you want them to be. The aim is to use our crafty stash without buying more but of course if you do weaken and grow your stash just come in and confess your sins and you will be forgiven
You can set your own target of how many items you would like to make using your stash or just a certain number of time you want to not buy for. Whatever works for you is ok with me

Hi
Can I join in for 2021? 2020 was a bust for me too, so I aim only to complete my existing projects before I buy anything new. My initial targets are:- Finish mustard-coloured jumper I’m making for my Mum
- Finish “New England Homes: Summer” cross-stitch - just back-stitch to do
- Sew up knitted sewing kits
Plenty more projects to do, but starting small.

Yeah, I'm in - did rather badly last year (mostly apathy, I'm afraid) so 2021 I Will Try Harder (or at least more consistently).
My target is 12 items - I may revise this, depending how I do.
I will be starting with the pile of UFO's (if I finish those, it's most of the way there):
- Top for sister
- Black short-sleeved top
- Purple jersey top
- Floral blouse
- Gold waistcoat
- Denim hex picnic blanket (fingers crossed will be able to use it this year!)
- Bugs Bunny x-stitch
- Cable jumper
- crochet squares blanket (not far off now!)2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used
Crafting 2024 - 1/9 items finished2 -

Me again back with a further 2 card makes.
I'm trying to be organised this year and make all my cards I need in advance as in the past I have had a last minute panic and gone out and bought stash which I really didn't need.
My total now stands at 5/2021
Hoping to start my 2021 Project Life album later today so will hopefully be back to declare more makes laterMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.022 -
Hiya all
so I didn’t make my target last year but managed at least 225. And given it was a crazy busy year that’s kind of impressive. So this year my target is 250. More achievable then last years but high enough.I need to be resolute on the not spending - unless it’s to finish something off or for a specific purpose. My pledge is not to spend unless it is a social thing. (I’ll go to classes with the materials included). I’ll be allowed to buy the finishers when I’ve got close to
finishing (so the binding for my tree skirt - once it’s basically finished etc). And within a £50 budget for the year. This will be if I need to get things to make a gift. If I sell anything crafty that will augment the budget. Unless it gets to be lots of cash in which case the original £50 is clawed back. And that £50 is to cover the costs of the binding and flies I’ll need. I’ve only allowed this as a craft magazine subscription auto renewed and I managed to get it cancelled. So far today I’ve recycled 5 boxes for Christmas decs.I’ve made 12 labels for oils I got for Christmas and have repurposed 1 amazing wooden box to store the oils and some candles in. It kind of needs painting or something at it currently says twinnings on it - but it’ll do as is for now.18 / 250.
Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500
