2021 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!

Hi all, I'm back again too! Moving house in November really highlighted just how much stash I have and how desperately I need to use it up! I am going to set a cautious target of 20 projects for the year across knitting and sewing, so I'll let you know how I get on! x

I made two cards today, both sympathy ones.  My daughter's father in law died Tuesday, so these are for her and her husband and her mother in law.  Not a nice subject to start my destash with, but it made me make a start.

Beautiful cards @loopychriss but sad reason to make them.

I had to take a load of a sleeve back yesterday because I did too many increases but didn’t notice for a while. Thankfully it’s the second sleeve though so not a massive amount left to do of the jumper, hopefully I might be finished by the end of the weekend.

Thank you both, I have another one to make, plus a thank you card and a birthday card, so will use up a bit more stash tomorrow.

The cards will hopefully be a teensy bit of positivity amongst the sadness for the recipient @loopychriss. They are beautiful.

I would like to join you all if I may? Mainly a knitter with too many projects on the go and too much in leftover sock wool to buy any more.

I have a sweater, a scarf, a shawl and a a pair of socks to finish. I also have a challenge of making some scrappy socks from leftovers and over dye some wool black to knit fingerless school gloves for the children.

My first project is to finish my mauve sweater.

I hope people have been busy and staying positive. 

This morning I’ve made two candles and 4 melts. I’m waiting for them to set but I'm counting them now. I got a kit for Christmas and have added some bergamot oil. So hopefully they’ll be lovely. I’m planning to burn one to see if it smells enough and give the other to my sister. 

I’ll then hopefully whip a few more. The get the kit gone. 

I’ve got a label I need to make and it’s making me chuckle that a few candles seemed less effort then writing on a label 🤣🤣

it’s looking gorgeous so I’m thinking if I can manage to get dressed then I’ll have a walk. (I’ve showered. Just put clean Jamas back on). It’s bloody freezing. 

So I’m on 30. Before I hit send I’ve written the label. Just not stuck it yet. But I will. X

I’m bored. And need to attack the Christmas tree. (It’s been down a week - but I need to chop it up to go in the green bin). 

Also up to 40. Made more candles and Melts and have also made a bauble for next year.

I've finished off 4 cards this morning- up to 8/75. I also cut out a tablecloth this morning. I need to just run a few quick hems- we need an extra tablecloth now my toddler sits at the table. I have a lot of cotton to use up- these were destined to be PJs, but I don't like the pattern so it is now repurposed. I have a little leftover, which might make some PJ bottoms for me.
