Yet another hat. My wool stash has appeared I know not where from. Some I bought with the intention of charity knitting and some was given to me but I honestly don't remember having as much as I had. I am still a relative novice at knitting and crochet, I prefer sewing, by hand preferably. I have never bought lovely wool I get mine from Home bargains, it knits a lovely baby hat!

Isn't it strange how stash breeds!    Apart from a for a few special requests, all the fabric for 300+ masks (2 layers) came from my stash.   I did have to buy elastic.   That big mat I made for the nursery was 5ft square.   I used the really scrappy bits of fabric, some almost crumbs, and I 'm sure the bag of scraps did not reduce in size!   I bought the waterproof backing fabris, but I got it on sale.   There is quite a lot left.   It's royal Stewart tartan so I'm planning a coat for son's dog - I just need to find some fleece.

Sorry the pic is so big .   I don't know how to reduce the size.

Greentiger, your picture appeared perfectly on mobile :)
It's a lovely quilt! I send all the scrappy and not so scrappy bits to my son's nursery at the moment. He'll be at school in another year and then my easy destash route will be gone.
I haven't done anything crafty this weekend. I must make some father's day cards this week! I do have 2 and a half days off whilst little is at nursery. I also need to fit in house viewings, mortgage appointment, decorating and a long overdue date with my husband in that too 😂

     Green Tiger,I love the quilt,that's a stunner.

I want to make another quilt. I think I said if I ever say that again you have permission to hurt me! The pain of the last one has dimmed so when this knitting and crochet finishes I will get myself off to Abberkhan and get some fabric. I haven't decided yet what exactly I want to do. Perhaps a log cabbin.

     Yet another 4 hats.

I have never got the hang of patchwork - never seem to be able to get it to join up properly, and I never seem to have the sort of material that looks pretty on a quilt.

Did get given a pattern for 'wonky patchwork' squares and did 9 of them - need to make some more, as I keep finding offcuts.

Husband has been wanting a mask with his bowling club badge on it for ages.   I'd though of scanning a badge and printing it on fabric (I have printer fabric - quelle surprise!) but never did get round to it.   Then the other day he was throwing out an old bowling shirt, so I cut out mask pieces from cotton and the badge off the shirt and appliqued the badge.   He was delighted!   It's the first mask I've made in that style - all my others have been pleated masks.   I have 20 pleated masks on the go just now, but it'll be a couple of days until they are finished.   And I'm wondering what I can do with the rest of the shirt, lol.

It's been busy here! The house is apparently worth far more than we thought, we viewed a lovely place yesterday and the mortgage broker offered us a ridiculous amount of money. I spent yesterday frantically going through the spare room of doom- my son's nursery is benefitting from some crafts I did years ago but haven't done recently. I've listed a some cross stitch card kits I won't make, and have a pile of card making stuff to rehome. Still haven't made any cards 😂 nothing like leaving it to the last minute!

Wow, that's great news about your house; it rarely happens that way round!

I got 12 masks finished today.

Great news emsi. We accepted an offer of 10K more than the asking price from the first viewer. Better start packing because house sales are on fire at the moment.

Wraithlady, I only do patchwork by hand. If pieces don't quite fit you can pull them and "make" them fit. I like the idea that I am making something in the traditional way, like it was done hundreds of years ago. They are very labour intensive though and take months of work.

greentiger you are on fire with the masks too. Did you use the shirt material as masks?

4 more hats made. I will cut back a little on crafting now until after we move at the end of the month.
