    Ancre cute little fairy house.
I am in a bubble with my Mum (86) but I don't go to see her that often, just to take her shopping every 3 weeks. I did look on pinterest but I just don't have the paper stock to make a lovely card. It is bizzare that I could actually go to buy the card stock at B n M and mix with all comers. Defeats the objective somehow.
I will make more effort t think about what I can do.

Vulpix, I often loot junk mail, magazines and brochures for nice pictures to turn into toppers or backing papers. My husband drew me a birthday card when he forgot to bring one on holiday with us once. If it's the base your struggling for, papier mache some papers together to make a sturdier base card, or paste onto cereal box cardboard? You could always knit a little something to glue onto the card front too :)
Hopefully you have some ideas to have fun with!

Thank you emsi. I have white card. I have tried to make cards before but they look like a child has done them. I haven't got a delicate touch ! I will see what I can do. I never thought to use something as a background.
Hat knitted for MR V, unravelled as unknown to me he has a beach ball head! knitting it again with 20 extra stitches.
A baby cardigan and 2 little jumpers finally finished. These were made last year before my charity knitting mountain. I counted the knitting mountain yesterday,10 blankets and 20 hats. Months of work for me but a drop in the ocean for the maternity hospital.

I have made a Mothers Day card. I copied an idea I saw online. I got some paint colour cards from B n Q and cut them into hearts. Will add a photo tomorrow.
Finished the giant hat for my Husbands giant head!
Sanded and varnished some oak drawers I was given. Took a couple of days.
Made a little table out of some vintage legs I have been keeping for 25 years ,a piece of MDF and a metal suitcase which my Grandad gave me. He always said it was to carry bombs. I was going to screw the legs to the suitcase until I researched online. It is German from the second world war and yes it was for carrying bombs. It would sell for upwards of £300.

Vulpix, it's made with love and that is the important thing. I've been making cards for 17 years now, and only in the last couple of years would I say any of mine look professional. Before that, it was my hobby and a way to make cards a bit more personal to the person I was sending them to.
On the b&q front- I made a card yesterday with a wallpaper sample I'd picked up years ago. Some wallpaper is great for making cards with- to the point where I'm not sure what it would be like on a wall!
I also made 2 Christmas cards, as I didn't have the stuff downstairs to finish the new baby card I was making. New total is 26/75

Gave my Mum her card, she was thrilled that I had made it!
Made MIL a little apron to fit over a bottle of washing up liquid. I think she would like that sort of thing.

OMG please forgive me - I have fallen off the wagon in spectacular fashion and bought nearly £2k worth of craft supplies this year already :(
I don't know what came over me as I was so determined to keep on track!!!
BUT .......... I'm back and ready to start afresh again.
I've decided to break my challenge into smaller chunks so I can reward myself (with chocolate and hopefully not craft supplies!!!!). My first challenge is to make 25 cards before I even allow myself to browse online craft shops or watch those pesky crafting tv channels.
Now off to catch up on the thread.
    See you all soon x

Forgiven!  If you are going to fall off the wagon you might as well do a good job of it!

    Hiya all. 👋

I have reused a loads of paper to wrap my sisters goodie box for her birthday. Using stickers instead of tape. And decorated a nice box that was too good to throw away. 🤣🤣

Used brown paper to wrap flowers for her birthday and for my mum for Mother’s Day. They didn’t have any amazing bunches  so I bought loads and added them together.

Used up six things. Not a massive dent but a good start.
